I have no mechanical experience changing anything out. I took a chance, and with the help of a few YT instructional vids, I was able to change this out. I am so happy with this install! The directions it came with were ok, but the videos found online helped more. Make sure you have all the right tools. You'll need: Trim removal tool Flathead screwdriver Adjustable wrench Sockets 10mm & 8mm Torx bits: T30, T20 Allen head: 5/32 Adaptors may be needed for the sockets Removing the old air intake was one of the main challenges I encountered. I had virtually no issues with installing the new one. Challenges were (I have a Jeep JL): Removing grill without scratching it on the aftermarket front bumper (I only had about a 3/4 of an inch gap to work with). Removing air intake air temperature sensor while being careful with it. Overall, I am very happy with this. It also makes my Jeep sound way better and a little meaner. ... show more

Was a very easy install, took about two hours by myself. I’m not super auto inclined but the instructions were clear. I did end up using a YouTube video to remove my 2024 gladiators stock intake. It’s an easy install. I’m seeing some reviews that say you need to remove the grill. This is not my experience on a 2018 Rubicon 3.6l. Nice sound for sure. I have a long trip in Oct to Moab ,Utah I’ll know then about gas mileage improvement
