This kit was super simple to install, but that’s pretty standard for intakes across the board. I had always steered away from K&N since they were so expensive but this is actually one of the cheaper options for this model truck. Still not sure why a chrome pipe and air filter cost so much, but again, standard across the board. As for this one, no big noticeable power or mpg increase, but I also don’t drive my truck a ton. The turbo whistle is about the same even with the resonator gone, but the intake itself makes a pretty solid sound when you get on the gas. You can really hear it sucking in more air. Overall I’m pleased with the purchase and have had zero issues so far. PS, they shipped mine in a box with big bright K&N logos all over it, so be aware of porch pirates if you have nosy neighbors or live close to the road. ... show more

I've contemplated buying this filter for quite a while, but never pulled the trigger because of the cost. Now I wished I had done it sooner. I couldn't be happier with the noticable gains it has produced, and I love the sound of the turbo whistle.

Relatively easy to install, and almost immediately after starting my truck did I notice the difference. Better throttle response, improved MPG, and the engine runs a lot smoother. Can't wait to see how it does with towing. Highly recommend.
