I bought this topper for my queen bed which is very hard. I like the softness and fluffiness of this topper. I fits well on my mattress which doesn't have deep pockets but it still fits fine. It's got big fluffy pads quilted on top and makes the mattress a lot more comfortable. I would buy again for sure and recommend. I am not sure it affected my sleep quality that's why I gave a 4 star, comfort and softness, absolutely!

If you look at the picture they advertise with, it looks really thick. Unfortunately for most, it will only be 1/2 to 2/3 of the thickness shown, but it is plenty thick to protect my mattress from my cats. I actually purchased it to be placed on a California King waterbed. It was a little difficult to get the sides under the mattress, but once done, it sits on the bed very nicely and the cats cannot claw through it to get to the waterbed mattress. It adds an extra layer of padding which resulted in the wave dampening effect of the mattress to improve a little more. With a thin sheet on top of it, it sleeps extremely comfortable. And while you are stretching the waterbed sheets into place, this pad didn't move because the sides were held down nicely by all the weight of the water in the mattress. I know it will be difficult to remove to wash, but it is a very effective pad for my needs.

I got this for the cooling factor and was disappointed that it did not work at all. To be honest it was actually the opposite of what it advertises as. I found that the material seemed to trap my heat inside. When I got out of bed in the morning you could even run your hand over the mattress and instantly feel the warm difference of where my body was laying versus the rest of the sheet. It was like it kept a hot outline of where I was laying. If cooling isn't a big deal for you then I will say that this is a super comfortable and soft pad. It's pretty dense so it kinda feels like youre laying on a cloud and I love that it is machine washable.

I committed to an old man lifestyle a few months back - go to bed at 9 pm, wake up at the crack of dawn, eat broccoli, and enjoy sitting on porches. I did not commit to back pain from my mattress! I think my mattress is plenty comfortable but it is definitely on the harder side and this mattress topper was exactly what I needed. My bed now feels like a soft heaven where I pass out almost instantaneously upon, and stay the perfect temperature. It adds a nice layer of softness that adds comfort but doesn’t damper any support a harder mattress offers. The topper needed a bit of time to poof up, but I would say it was ready to rumble after 20 minutes in the dryer on low heat. Got a second one to gift to my brother since the world benefits if we are both not cranky from poor sleep. I have fortunately not had a reason to test water resistance but I assume it’s probably pretty good since everything else about this topper’s description has been spot on. Will update review if any accidents occur where I can speak on water resistance.

Not sure why this has such mixed reviews! I bought 3 different softening pads/topper and this one hands down was the best. It's fairly thick for just being a cover up pad and provided extra softening support. Was exactly what I was looking for! And BTW much thicker than the other 2 I bought that advertised as being thick. Great topper!
