Pretty easy install on my 04 Tundra, only complaint is that the big vacuum hose was cut a little short for my liking but not a big deal. Power wise, you'll notice that the truck will pull harder when you hit over the 3k rpm mark. Noise wise, the truck sounds almost stock when you are cruising just a little induction whistle. If you hit it however, it will definitely put a smile on your face, louder and a great sound from that v8. Gas mileage did increase even after hitting it all day, I noticed about a 50 mile difference for me on the highway. Overall definitely would recommend even at that price point. ... show more

Edited review: After two weeks, with two more staggered deliveries of the two missing parts, I was finally able to finish my installation. I'm now happier with the whole ordeal, even though it was a big hassle. I hope K&N does better with quality control and getting all parts in the boxes. I've changed my rating to four stars from the two original stars. Original review: Arrived 5 days after ordering - with two important parts missing, the heat shield and the 1/2" diameter main air vent hose. I called K&N and I'll have to wait probably 5-7 days to get the missing parts. In the meantime, my truck is undriveable since I had already removed OEM parts. ... show more

    • Don't buy it.
I bought it and I stalled it. It didn't work on my truck. The power or fuel efficiency didn't improve at all. Plus it sounds like a jet engine taking off in my cab. They want to charge me to take it back. Their guarantee isn't worth the paper it's written on. Don't buy from here.

Very impressed with the whole system, fairly quick install and had easy instructions (minus the concussion about the hoses for my 04 tundra. it only talked about 00-02 and 03). will be honest i wasn't expecting much gain out of it nor much sound difference, but I was thoroughly blown away. nothing too much on the low end but when you put the foot to the floor you really hear and feel the difference. and also you literally hear the air getting sucked in, thought that was pretty cool. great buy. i don't know hp gain and also have the flow master 50 series exhaust already on so results may vary for others. will post pictures later ... show more

The bracket and hardware that connects from the shield to the frame of the fan was not provided. It's not essential, but it would have been nice and caused an unnecessary headache. It took about 30 minutes to remove the stck filter and install this one. Haven't noticed much of a power boost though. A lot louder when I need to punch it.
