I had been reviewing K & N as well as Airaid air intakes for my H2 Hummer. I think they both make great products, but with Amazon's low price on K & N I decided to spend the extra $20.00 and get the K & N system. Ebay was the cheapest I had found with until I came to Amazon and they had the same price and I knew who I was buying from, so I ordered it. It installed quickly (about 90 min.) and the system runs beautifully. The sound was actually pretty mellow overall. It seems quieter on takeoff, but when you step on it you can hear it. You can also hear some noise from the passenger side after you install. Mostly some mild inhale/sucking sounds but nothing you even notice with the radio on. So far the initial benefits are more throttle response and it looks like I am getting about 1 mpg more than before. Not a lot, but for a Hummer that is about a 10% increase :-) I am very pleased over all. Also wanted to mention that I owned an Airaid system last year with my Ford pickup with a 4.7 Triton and it was much louder than the K & N. Quiet works better for me. I also want to commend Amazon on the amazing service they provide with the Prime membership. I ordered this system on Thursday afternoon wanting to have it on Friday so I could toy with it on the weekend. It cost me $3.99 to have this large box sent overnight to my house and I had it on Friday. Prime memberships are worth their weight in gold for frequent Amazon shoppers IMO. ... show more

This is a must have for Hummer owners. It looks fantastic sounds fantastic and wakes up your motor and helps with gas mileage. This is my second Hummer I've installed this product on and both times it's worked stellar. And the new version with the carbon fiber filter looks awesome

Only reason for 4 star and not 5 is because the cut to fit the throttle body was not even close to fitting snug. I had to trim it myself. It was in the way of my radiator fan before I trimmed it. Second reason is because the hardware that comes with it to fit the heat shield isn’t the best. The rubber pieces will just twist and break off when you try to tighten them, now making my heat shield loose. Other than that, good air intake. ... show more

I've noticed a slight improvement in gas mileage and a large improvement in power. This filter was the final touch to my upgrade to my 2003 Hummer. I also have dual exhaust with Flowmaster 40 series mufflers and the Superchips programmer. The filter was like a nice bow to the package. Also, this filter eliminated that slight hesitation I had when pressing the pedal to the floor. I can't imagine ever going back to stock, and it's all California legal! ... show more

Why did I wait all these years?!?! I love it! After installing, I took a 63 mile test drive combined with local and highway driving. The trip odometer registered a 12.6 MGP average which was up from my 10.4 MPG average. That is ~20% improvement. Now I can drive longer on a tank of fuel. When I removed the factory connection at the throttle body, I immediately learned that the factory air intake was installed incorrectly from the beginning since 2003! See photo. I strongly suggest doing a simple check to make sure the seal is good and the air filter is doing what it is supposed to. I bought this for my hummer h2 that was getting 11-12 mpg. I installed the intake with two 3 inch cherry bomb glass pack mufflers ( don't judge they sound amazing!! ) and now I am averaging 15-16 after 1,000 miles. There was a huge difference in performance also! But to get the mpg I had to be easy on the gas! ... show more
