This seems like a good, solid tarp. It's thick and the edges are reinforced. The corner grommets have plastic reinforcement. It's silver on the front side and brown on the back side. I haven't had an opportunity to use it yet but it doesn't look or feel cheap like other tarps I've used. Will update if I have any problems!

Most tarps are six inches shorter than actual size but not this one true to size. Also a couple of eyelet were bent or fell out. Good thing i have a eyelet gun. For the price can't go wrong. Most 20x40s tarps are double this price. Lets see how long it last?

As others have mentioned in these reviews, this is a good tarp. The strength is better than the silver 10x10 that I get from HF (also a fine tarp for the value minded). Good rubbery plastic corner reinforcement combined with the rope sewn into the edge seems makes for a good edge to secure with rope or bungees. Many times, tarps are listed as heavy duty but are only 9 mils thick (see photos comparing HFT with this). This one is 16 mils thick. I don’t always need this thick but it definitely comes in handy when used to haul brush and branches during spring yard cleaning. Branches are notoriously hard on tarps. This tarp appears to have a tighter weave for the fabric used. Also, it appears to be two separate layers (brown and silver). Great value for a strong and thick 16 mil tarp.

This is a high quality tarp compared to any you will find in a common hardware or big box type store. The 16mil thickness sounds good on paper, but it really comes home when you get the tarp. This thing is heavy, and the fabric is so thick it just embarasses the competition. The hems are double stitched, and there are strong plastic reinforcements on the corners under the corner grommets. The grommets are placed about every foot and a half or so around the perimeter, and all the grommets were properly crimped in place. I got the 10' x 10' which is a good size for my use, and like most tarps it is actually a couple of inches shy of that due to the hems being done. This gives great protection from the elements, be they sun, rain, wind, or snow. This is just an awesome tarp, and easily worth the price. I definitely can recommend this tarp as being heavy duty in fact, not just in an advertisement. 5 Stars!

For the last 30 odd years my buddy and I have been camping in the back country of Baja, Mexico for the purpose of fishing. Part of that camp is setting up a galvanized pipe frame and covering it with a heavy duty tarp (bungee-balled to the frame) since there is no other shade to speak of. Over the years we have gone through various tarps that ultimately succumb to the harsh sun, whipping winds, and the occasional violent Chubasco. I ordered this SpacEver heavy duty tarp based on the excellent specs (16 mil…wow!) and rave reviews from others. And I have not been disappointed! This tarp is serious thick. Thicker than any of the previous tarps my buddy and I have used. The edge seams are bonded very well and the grommets are appropriately frequent (appx. every 20”). The corners are reinforced which also exceeds our previous tarps. Nice! I believe this tarp will outlast all of our previous tarps by an order of magnitude. The $23 price point is more than fair, especially if your needs exceed the standard cruddy blue tarp that turns to dust after one season. Five stars all day long!
