Amazing product. I use to get around 36mpg on stock. After doing a 50mile test drive I was at 40.4mpg. The throttle response has improved tremendously. It will give it a nice deep roar at around 3,700rpm. Slight improvement on power. I drive about 52miles 6 days a week and the gas improvement will help tremendously. The product is exactly what you would expect from K&N. QUALITY! The goal was to increase gas mileage with more, cleaner air (I swear by K&N filters) which didn't happen. I'm getting the same mileage. The increased horsepower was a given and the car definitely is more responsive. The little additional noise from the engine reminds you of 4-barrel carbs of old once you hit the power band. It's a nice upgrade for the 2.5L but a little pricey considering the gas mileage didn't improve. ... show more

It helped very minimal with horsepower. I got it for slight increase in hp but mostly for increase in MPG. I did notice an increase in HP but did not notice an increase in MPG. It fit okay but I'm not sure if it was worth close to $300 maybe high $100 would be the appropriate price. Maybe it would work better in a cooler climate than hot Phoenix AZ ... show more

Coming from someone who is not very savvy on cars I found the directions quite easy and simple to install, the only trouble I had was attaching and securing it to the throttle body just because I have larger hands so it was harder for me to access. Works great and love the sound I get from revving around 4k rpms ... show more

Upon opening the big box, the pieces were protected by paper bag packaging with the directions on top, which isn’t easy to miss! The directions were straight forward, but the videos on YouTube were also helpful if you need more of a person talking through on how to properly install it. Took me about an hour with no mechanic experience, but I would recommend a nice cold beer and if it’s dark outside, use a head light to get into those dark spots. Simple tools really to install the Air intake depending what vehicle you’re driving but be sure to make everything tight so nothing rattles. After completing the installation, I started the car but didn’t tell the difference just yet until taking the car to the road. By golly, when accelerating it sounds amazing with a deep roar. Have not noticed any changes with the quick acceleration performance vs the speed. I have noticed the miles per gallon difference, very small though about 2-3 depending if you’re driving on the highway or the back roads. After about 3 weeks of installing, the ‘check engine’ light did go off on my dashboard which worried me. Will have it checked out but other than that side effect, I really hope that installing the air intake didn’t effect the engine in any way. For what it’s worth, I would recommend it if you’re looking for a little something extra for your baby. ... show more
