I've come to distrust clothing from Amazon, so I was very anxious about quality and fit. I'm incredibly picky, so finding a dress I even liked to begin with was impossible, much harder finding one in the color and fabric I wanted, below $100, and with good reviews. It just came in today and it's better than I expected, and exactly as I had hoped. It looks so beautiful. The burgundy is just like the photo. I'll be dressing it up with some replica vintage jewelry because I feel like this dress lends itself so well to a classic look. Fabric is just thick enough to feel substantial, but not overly heavy. Very comfortable and flattering in a way that makes me feel uncharacteristically confident, I love it. The waist highlights the figure well, but the sleeves help me feel "covered" in a way that an oversized t-shirt would. There's a little bit of stretch, but not in a cheap jersey cloth kind of a way. This dress is really going to help make for a memorable night, and I'm so happy I found it. I feel like myself wearing it. Anything else would have felt like a "wedding guest costume," not like "me, but in a nice dress." If you feel like this dress is very "you", I'd say go for it. It can be worn as is, but it's so simple in shape and color that it's very easy to dress it up with accessories that speak to you. Women's clothing sizes can be strange, but I'd say the 6 is relatively true to size. I almost always wear a 6 in dresses and a 4 in pants (but I sometimes have to go up or down a size). In this case, I'll be re-ordering a size down to match my pants size, because I feel that the waist and hips are a little bit baggy on me, and I find that the chest and shoulder area is very forgiving and will be able to fit a good range of sizes (especially if you're willing to use a couple safety pins). So if your dress and pants sizes don't match (like me with my wide shoulders and small hips) I'd say following your pants size is a good bet. I'm closer to 5'9" than 5'8", and the length on the size 6 is just long enough to look long and flowy and elegant instead of goofy. For me it hits just past the ankle. It covers the ankle fully, but I doesn't drag on the floor. I could wear flats or a short heel, but shorter women may want to go for a taller heel or choose to hem it. The only part I'm iffy on is the zipper. It feels like one of those cheap zippers that comes on every piece of clothing that only lasts a couple washes. If another event comes up where I'll have the chance to wear this dress again, I think I'll look into replacing the zipper, but for now it's fine. It's functional, and I'm packing extra safety pins and a small sewing kit just in case. Overall I love this dress, and I'm very happy with how it makes me look and feel!

The quality of this dress was impressive!! It was so soft, and the style was extremely flattering!! And color is absolutely beautiful!! (I ordered the color burgundy) I took the time to read quite a few reviews myself before buying it, and a lot of them said it ran small, and to order the next size up, SOOO GLAD I DID BOTH!! But, let’s talk about the top! Coz, it’s a bit of a problem! The top of this dress is pretty crazy loose, mind you, I fixed that situation with a safety pin 🧷, and a vintage broach, I just happen to have, but, I do feel that it could be better fitted with a slight design fix. And, I don’t really want to deter anyone considering buying this, as the dress is absolutely beautiful, and I completely recommend it!! I just want whoever took the time to read this to be aware that the top will probably need fixing somehow, and that you may need to order up one size in order to get a good fit. As an added bonus, the dress is machine washable, in cold water on delicate setting, on its own, lay flat to dry! So very pleased with this purchase!! It’s the best one I’ve made on Amazon yet! lol

This gown is very soft, easy to put on and comfortable to move in. My only issue is the neckline. I will like have to pin it or use fashion tape to avoid gapping or showing my bra. My torso is a little square, so it’s not the most flattering cut from the front for me. I plan to use shape-wear to make up for that. If you have even the slightest hour glass waist, this dress will work great for you! True to size per the sizing chart. The color is a warmer purple than it appears in the picture. Overall, I’m satisfied with this purchase! The sleeves are my favorite part. So flowy and elegant!

First, this dress is STUNNING. Out of the package, every particle in my body was hoping this dress would be “the one.” My best friend is getting married in October and having a celestial theme but it’s been so difficult to find a purple MOH dress in the shades she loves. This dress could be perfect. From the flowy sleeve, the overall fit was perfect, it’s soft, comfortable, beautiful. BUT - it is BEYOND ME, why any vendor would cut a dress that would be used for more formal events this low and not have some kind of latch/hook situation as as option. In many reviewers pictures, it didn’t appear to be so low cut. I’m a 42G for reference, while I was hoping to have a reduction before the wedding (insurance sucks) I really thought this dress was going to make me feel beautiful but instead made me hyper aware of my body dysmorphia and there is no way I’d ever wear this standing next to my best friend at the altar.

This dress will not be retired from my wardrobe any time soon. Nice quality. Didn't need to steam or iron, was wrinkle free. Highly recommend.

I got this dress for my best friend’s wedding. I was a bridesmaid- we all were to find dresses made of velvet. I liked this style because it was simple, elegant and vintage looking. It looked promising. On day of the wedding, the zipper was defective and split completely, the special day was ruined. Not to mention the black die WILL transfer onto your skin, just from trying it on whatever skin came into contact with the velvet had a black dye transfer. I don’t know how they passed quality control…because the zipper was messed up beyond compare. Couldn’t be in the wedding because of this darn issue. Don’t waste your money or time.
