I was in a car accident a couple years ago, hit from behind. I still have chronic neck pain which gets worse by the end of the day when my neck muscles are fatigued (I assume). I got this to see if maybe it would help while I sat and watched tv or whatever I’m doing in the evenings, but I was pretty skeptical. I was happily surprised when I found that right away I was more comfortable. It’s not fixing anything but since I don’t have to use my own muscles to hold my head up it gives me a little relief so those muscles aren’t as engaged. And anyone who’s dealt with chronic pain knows that any relief is welcome. The outer cover if quite soft and silky feeling, very nice against the skin. I can feel ventilation holes in the structure and did not feel hot wearing it. My only issue is that it arrived flattened and folded so it doesn’t want to curve, it wants to keep a somewhat boxy shape. I’ve been working with it to reshape it and it’s improved a bit so I’m hopeful that over time as it relaxes and I work on it some more it will eventually curve. It’s very easy to put on and take off, I must have gotten the right size because it doesn’t feel right at all, and I’m very sensitive to things around my neck so that was a concern I had when ordering. Overall if you want to give your neck muscles a little break this is a very comfortable way to do it. Very enjoyable to wear.

I got this neck brace because I recently messed up my neck and needed something to support me while I sleep. I thought it would make me feel all hot and uncomfortable at night, but boy, was I wrong! It's actually super comfy and doesn't stick to my hair.

When I sleep wrong and feel that little pain in my neck. I like to wear my neck brace to help align my neck in the right posture. I like this brace it is comfortably and the velcro is super strong so it stays in place no matter how much you move around.

This neck brace is really comfortable. I’m not sure where you are technically supposed to measure your neck, but right in the middle, mine is roughly 14” (give or take an inch, I was using a metal tape measure so it wasn’t perfect, lol). It overlapped a small amount in the back when I Velcroed it but it wasn’t noticeable or uncomfortable. If I wasn’t intentional about checking the fit for a review, I don’t think I would have noticed. The fabric or padding part of the neck brace is about 19” + an additional 4” Velcro. The part of the Velcro that would touch your neck is the soft part, and is probably about as soft as Velcro gets, so I think it would be comfortable for a larger neck. The listing says it’s 18.6-22.7inches, I would agree, that’s the inside circumference of the neck brace with the Velcro secured and no overlap. I think it would be too snug for a 22.7” neck, but would fit well for a hair smaller than that, and like i said, it was comfortable on my smaller neck with a small amount of overlap. The foam itself was supportive, but comfortable. My muscles get weak with use, so it’s difficult for me to sit unsupported very long, as my neck gets tired and that ultimately causes significant pain the next few days. So I sometimes wear a soft neck brace to help out when I need to. This is much more comfortable than my other one. I tried another one a week or so ago that I just threw away. This one is definitely a keeper. I really like the fabric on this one, it’s like a super soft athletic jersey. It’s very comfortable on my skin, and even better, it won’t attract fuzzies and little hairs like my other one. So many braces and supports, whether it’s for the neck or ankle or whatever, have a fuzzy cover that hair and fuzzies just cling to, this fabric is definitely not like that! It’s not obvious in the listing photos without zooming in, but there is a second piece of jersey fabric, almost like a sock, that runs across most of the front of the brace (about 60% of the total length). This sleeve can be removed for washing. The parts at the very back of the neck do not have a removable sleeve for washing, but I think you could wipe it with a wet cloth periodically. It does feel nice and much more cool than the fabric in my older one. I think it will be in the summer too, but my house is too cool this time of year to be sure. I’m optimistic though. The foam does have a bit of an odor when you stick your nose into it, but it wasn’t noticeable when I opened it, and I don’t have to keep it across the room. I am very sensitive to odors and didn’t even notice when I first put it on, only when I really stuck my nose right up agains the foam. This isn’t going to make your neck/head immobile, but it does restrict movement quite a bit, and you definitely can’t look down by bending your neck. I do have to turn my body to the side vs. just my head to look very far right or left. It does take a lot of stress off my muscles and gives them a break around the house or sitting. I also sometimes also use it in a car or plane to keep my head up, or when I’m sick, I use it to keep my head up if I have to mostly sleep upright. Stays in place much better than a travel pillow. Oh, and fair warning, even if you don’t have “fat jowls” a neck brace is not all that flattering for most, lol. But if you have to wear a mask in public like I do, it covers it up.

Comfortable neck brace specially if you have been having issues and experiencing discomfort due to stiff neck. Please be advised that it should be used only if you are looking to treat minor stiffness or discomfort. What I liked was that this neck brace also has a sleeve that can be washed as needed specially if you have been using any ointment around the neck area. From a quality perspective you get what you spend. This is not a bad quality neck brace, I do see stitching issues but given the price point it is an okay product and should last for some time.

I have a couple of these neck braces as I'm always on the look out for better ones. The problem that I'm constantly running into is that they lose their shape pretty quickly. I've been using this brand for a week, and so far, so good. I've fallen asleep with it in my chair, and I absolutely appreciate how supportive it is. I don't realize how many times I unconsciously put strain on my neck by sitting incorrectly or not sitting up straight to support my head and neck. With this, I can just let my head and neck relax and there's something to catch it. I hope that this remains as sturdy as it is now over time.
