Lightweight at the same time supportive. My husband had open heart surgery and could not sleep flat on the bed, even with a couple of pillows. Too much pressure on his chest area. This wedge was soft and pliable and he was able to sleep comfortably even with his own pillow under his head. Right now we are leaving it on the bed, but it could stand up against a wall if needed. If your couch is wide enough, you could probably use it there also. This wedge most importantly has helped him to sit up when getting out of bed. He hasn't had any issues with slipping down and we have not covered it. Has helped with his recovery.

The standard width 12" height Kӧlbs Bed Wedge Pillow works great as a headboard pillow to sit up comfortably in bed. I used to stack several sleeping pillows but this wedge pillow solved that problem. I originally purchased the 7.5" version but it was not thick enough. The 12"x24"x24" standard-width pillow is firm but supportive. The cover that comes with it is soft and fits well. Highly recommend.

This pillow is comomfortable - seems well made - did not have the oder that was mentioned in other reviews. However, it is not 7.5 inches in height. I let it "inflate" for 2 days after arrival and it only measures to barely 6 inches. Perhps this just pertains to the pillow I received, but if you need more height than 6 inches you should probably order a pillow with more height.

I really like this wedge bed pillow, very comfortable and well made. I got the standard height which is perfect and have another thinner pillow under it. I use it primarily to keep my head elevated while sleeping. I have an issue with dizziness if my head isn't propped up. I was told it was "your rocks are off" as tiny crystals float around in the ear and causes dizziness, I slept on it last night and so far so good. Very good choice it doesn't slide around like others I have had.

This wedge pillow is probably the item I've used the most during my back healing journey. For those with back pain, laying on your back can be a good way to alleviate pressure on the spine and allow for decompression and restoration of the back's natural curves. However, I have two herniated discs and so laying on my back is challenging sometimes. This wedge pillow helps me lay on my back for long periods of time, even during sleep. It's firm but comfortable, and provides the support I need to keep my legs elevated while laying on my back. If you suffer from back pain and have trouble laying down on your back, give this a try.

3 PROS: It is comfortable. It feels good to be higher up --my breathing is better. The end of the wedge (the part under your waist) lies very close to the mattress, so you don't feel a huge gap between your upper part and your lower part. 2 CONS: It smells horribly. I aired it out for 3 days and it still smelled awful. My solution was to wrap the memory foam wedge with a waterproof mattress protector and then insert the entire thing inside the wedge cover. It solved the problem, but this company should do something about the smell. In addition, it did not solve my snoring problem. It was disappointing because some of the reviews said that they snored less. Oh, well.

This large wedge was purchased for my wife that has a lot of orthopedic issues. She was sleeping in the recliner due to spine and knee issues. This wedge has allowed her to return to bed to sleep, it is the perfect angle for her. Then, after her knee replacement she was able to use it to help elevate her legs to mitigate post surgical pain and swelling. The only drawback is the cover. While it’s great that it is removable for washing, it’s not the silk pillowcase she uses to help with her fragile, curly hair and we can’t find additional pillowcases to fit it.
