    • Our second Espresso Machine from Capresso
Fifteen years ago we bought our first super-automatic espresso machine, a Capresso E-8. Just for context, I’m a Product Designer. We loved that machine, despite the fact that it has been repaired three times now. We decided to get it fixed this third time, then sell it, and get the new version. Much more computerized, and loaded with sensors, its much more automatic and user-friendly... at a price. $300 more, plus the need for new special chip-equipped water filters at $20 each, and cleaning/de-scaling tablets. We shall see how long these last with our hard California water. The coffee this thing makes GREAT coffee. Better than the original one, thanks to several innovations and changes to the process from the previous generation. REALLY noticeably great coffee. Its a little more difficult to steam milk, requiring a cleaning process with MORE expensive “special milk-frothier cleaner” they require. We don’t use it at all. Its a hassle. The quality of the machine is very good, and we can expect a long service life from it, provided the plastic gears and solenoids, actuators and pumps, heater blocks and valves, plus a computer inside a box that makes heat, steam and shock vibrations. Wish us luck! Meanwhile, we do love the thing, and itwe IS easier to use since we don’t use the frother. Pretty intuitive, a really nice user-interface, customizable brews, option to use ground coffee (helpful for the occasional decaf’) and pretty easy to clean out the grounds and drip tray. A MUCH fancier machine, it seems worth it if you love great coffe and can spring for 20 times the cost of a good drip machine! ... show more

Purchased at the beguinning of the pandemic, had doubts on the high price, the results: 1- top quality coffee every day, at your home, comparable to the best restaurants or coffee shops in Miami 2- fast- it warms up in seconds, no need to wait, only need to keep milk in the fridge and connect with a tube, and allways clean tube and put back the milk container in the fridge after each use 3- it requires maintenance of filters, cleaning tabs, milk system washer, but is like you clean any other appliance. Im writing this review because this is a great product that it has impressed me on its quality and performance over the years, i feel the product is not so well known and it deserves recognition for its value. Friends and family allways ask for a “european coffee” or “cortadito” when they come home! ... show more

    • Do not but this product.
The coffee it makes is fine, but their technical support sucks, and they are rude and unhelpful to their customers. My 2-month-old coffee maker stopped working after I changed the filter. It is in a never-ending loop of "System filling" - you can hear the pump going but not water flows. It turns out that if you buy and use one of their overpriced Jura "Labortatry tested original Jura Product CLARIS Smart filters", rather than say the *CLEARYL* Smart filter (which are sold as the same product at Amazon), and put that it in your Jura E8, well that's gonna prevent the system from working by introducing an air bubble in the line (major design flaw, I'd say). Jura's technical support would rather tell you that this is your problem, an issue that you caused, rather than admit a serious design flaw in their product. I've never had a coffee maker before incapacitated by an air bubble. The problem is that you have no way of simply purging the bubble or priming the pump. This is an overpriced over-engineered POS sold by a company that doesn't support its customers or tries to do the right thing. Update: I sent the unit in for repair after contacting technical support by email. The supervisor who responded was much more helpful, professional, and easier to deal with than whomever I originally reached by phone. About 2 weeks later it's back... and still not working. It is giving the same error - an endless loop of "System is filling" (that it never completes). Tech support was super friendly and helpful this time. They agreed to overnight a refurbished unit with a low cup count, which is fine by me, assuming it works as expected. ... show more

This is an awesome espresso machine. Just got this yesterday and I've already tried 6/7 different drinks and they all came out great tasting with very minimal work. Had this machine now for 2 months and really liking this machine. Great quality espresso each time. Easy to use and clean. My husband is an engineer and it's not easy to WOW him, but this machine WOW'd him a lot!!! ... show more

My husband and I love good coffee and this machine is doing a phenomenal job. We tried almost all variation of coffee except the flat white. All came out superb. But you have to have good coffee beans, which we still try to find. We recently had a cheap coffee and you taste it. We use now Britt coffee beans and lavzza. Both excellent. Yeah, the price for the machine is hefty, but it was our own Christmas present. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. This is my 2nd Jura. I purchased my first one as refurbished. It was fantastic and we loved every cup of coffee. But it was heavy and took up more counterspace. After 5 years we decided to sell it and get a brand new Jura. LOVE LOVE the E8. Beautiful chrome look (it is plastic) works fantastic and has so many improvements such as the ease of removing the water tank. Makes great coffee and specialty drinks. Our only problem- drinking too much coffee!!!😲🤪☕️ Absolutely no regrets if you are a true coffee lover! ... show more

The JURA E8 is the model you need for a perfect cup of coffee or latte specialty. Simple to use, as it's programed for a perfect cup of Java, or you design your own coffee program and save it, according to your taste. I'm not disappointed in the least with my Jura E8.
