I am not one to give gifts to other peoples children (my grand niece in this case) just to piss off the parent. I am told Play-Dough is the prime example of such a gift (crumbly mess that gets everywhere). So I though that this would be a great gift. And as a toy piano for a two year old it is! For an aspiring Karaoke singer the microphone REALLY amplifies the singer. This feature, amplifying an enthusiastic two year old, quickly got me the stink eye at Christmas and caused the microphone (which unplugs) to mysteriously disappear between the couch cushions. The piano arrived on time, boxed well. It’s small but good for a toddler. It looks just like the picture. We bought it early as a gift for my 3 year old daughters birthday. We waited to open and power it up because we do a joint birthday with her older brother who’s birthday is soon after. Well she got to open her gift but when we put in the batteries it didn’t work. Brand new Duracell batteries that I tested on some Christmas lights. I played around with the batteries just to see if I had them in wrong. Nope. There was a hole at the back that’s intended for a power cord but it was just an empty hole, like some components were missing. My daughter wanted to play with it but it was a big disappointment. We missed the return window because we waited for the party to open it. I would suggest buying elsewhere for a tiny piano. It looked good but if it doesn’t work, what’s the point. Better than expected! My two year got this for Christmas and loves it! The microphone and speakers have some power to it. The volume buttons are great until she realized how to turn it back up! Only thing I wish it had was more than two sing along songs. I think I’ll be singing happy birthday and twinkle twinkle in my sleep for days. Took this on our first road trip and it even survived that accidental fall from the vehicle door opening. A little scratched but still plays and operates just like new! I will now have a ton of toys to get rid of because she has ignored them all but this one toy. ... show more
