Description

Jungle No More Algae Tank Buddies tablets control algae growth and leave your aquarium water crystal clear. These algae treatment tablets help inhibit growth of many types of algae in freshwater aquariums, including suspended algae blooms and algae that grows on the sides of glass and acrylic tanks. Use one Jungle No More Algae Tank Buddy tablet for each 10 gallons (40 L) of aquarium water. For regular maintenance, use once a month or as needed. Repeat treatment when algae growth begins to appear. For best results, wipe the sides of the aquarium if algae are already present before treating. See label for complete instructions¬. Contains 8 tablets. Not for use in soft water and/or acid water with low alkalinity. Do not use in tanks, water fountains or patio ponds with live plants, snails or other invertebrates. This will work on true algae (not green blue algae ((cyanobacteria))). Cleared up all the algae in my tank, it would always come back onto glass within days of cleaning, been a month since treated and no algea returned yet. I went a little outside of directions for these but I'm happy with the results so this my experience and this is what I did. I was having an issue with algae on my tank decor and I'd clean but it just came back quickly. My power went out for about 18 hours due to a hurricane. When it came back on, the water was really cloudy. I found these tabs and decided to give it a shot (too many others had tons of reviews about dead fish). The steps I followed were: 1) removed carbon filter but left pump running. 2) removed all decor 3)put my snail in a holding tank 4) dissolved 2 tablets in some water and added to my 29 gallon tank (obviously less than the 3 recommended for my tank size because the warnings are SCARY!) 5) put all decor into a 5 gallon bucket of water with another tablet. Let it soak. 6) I let everything sit over night like this. 7) next day I scrubbed all plants in clean water with a scrub brush 8) Did a 75% water change and cleaned visible algae off of the tank glass while it was mostly empty 9) added all decor back with new water and replaced my carbon filter. 10)waited another day and added my snail again All in all, I'm not sure if the scrubbing and water change is responsible for the improvement or if it was the tablets. But I'm happy with the results and didn't have any scary side effects that I read about with other algaecides. Before and after pictures show the huge change! ... show more
