This thing is mega nice. Mine came with a full charge and was ready to go. I used it today for the first time. I had to air up a tire on my mower and then the battery was dead from setting all winter. The tire inflater has several modes car tires bike tires ball and so on and you can change the preset amounts for each. When it reaches the desired psi it simply turns off. It comes with a bag to store it and its accessories it has several inflation tips including a ball needle. I wish the bag zipped shut or had a separate compartment for these items that zipped shut. If not careful it could fall out of the bag. But that is the only negative I have seen. It has a flashlight and it is a USB charger bank. The jump box would be nice if they made the cords a foot longer. I guess they would have to up the sizes wire but they will get to most batteries ok because the jump box is so small. I have tried 4 or 5 of these compressors and this is the best one and it has the jump start. Easy to use and well made It should hold up for a good while.

I have a tire inflator I carry that I paid about the same as the asking price for this. However, it only inflates. It does not include the jump/booster feature which makes this a very good deal. I tested this today by pumping my 4 tires up on my AWD SUV. It's important that all 4 tires are the same pressure on that type of vehicle so that you don't damage the drive train. So, I set it at the mfr recommended setting of 35 psi and went to work. I started out with 3 tires between 30-32 psi and one at 27. This inflator took them all up to 35 psi in under 15 minutes with no problem at all and, with the pre-set pressure, I was able to get them all to the exact same pressure. When I started out it was fully charged, with 5 bars of charge. When I completed this task it still had4 bars of charge showing. Meaning I still had adequate charge left after that to use the booster function to start my car, (they recommend you not use the booster function if you have less than 3 bars of charge). I don't have anything that needs a jump at this time so I can't test that feature. However. This appears to be a well engineered, well made product. I'm pretty confident the boost function will work equally well. I do know that I'll be taking my inflator out of my car storage area and I'll be replacing it with this. It's much more versatile and it has a built in flashlight as well.

The AsperX 3,000 amp jump starter has been an outstanding performer, so far. I decided to set up a simple test to compare it to my other 3,000 amp jump starter. Both were able to start a 5.0L mildly tuned direct injection engine and a stock 5.4L F-150 gas engine multiple times on a single charge. The AsperX came out on top. To test them, I swapped the good battery in each vehicle with an older, failing battery that I recently replaced. After slow charging it overnight, the old battery's voltage settled around 12.1 volts and tested just shy of 300 CCA after each charge. I should note, the max CCA fell off quickly due to the battery's diminished capacity. Each test of the jump starter was performed after verifying the old battery wouldn't start the vehicle by itself. Each engine & jump starter combo was tested separately, one day apart, which was necessary to ensure the battery and chargers were fully charged. Winner: The AsperX started the 5.0L and 5.4L engines a total of 9 and 11 times respectively. The other 3K amp charger finished with a respectable 7 and 8 starts per engine. Winner: AsperX Air Compressor. I had the opportunity to use the air compressor in a real-life situation, twice. While away from home in a hotel, I picked up a nail in my right rear tire. I was elated when I remembered that I had TWO emergency air compressors in the trunk, one of which was the AsperX model. The tire was basically completely flat, indicating less than 5 psi on the compressor's display. I set it to 34 psi, and headed back inside the building. It wasn't fast, but to be fair, the tire is about 12 inches wide (305/35R-19). About 10 minutes later, the pump shut off at 34 psi. When I went to unscrew the hose from the pump, the brass fitting attaching the hose to the compressor was VERY hot - enough to make me recoil and think twice about doing it again. Before I had a chance to get the tire fixed, I had to use the compressor again. And, again, the fitting was super hot. That makes me concerned about the longevity of the air compressor. However, it's designed for emergency use. Even if it only lasted for 5-10 uses (continuous use for several minutes), for most people, it may provide emergency protection for a couple of years or more. Two small issues. Power button placement. The power button for the compressor, lights, and charging functions is front and center, sitting just proud of the surface. It is also perfectly aligned with the strap inside the case. I have triggered the compressor a couple of times while putting it in the case. One other time, I grabbed the case from the trunk and the compressor kicked on. I turned the unit face down inside the case and haven't had any issues so far. Compressor noise. Another minor complaint is the compressor noise. It's particularly loud and annoying, beating out my other jump starter's compressor by a narrow margin. Operating together, they are quite the annoying duo. It absolutely doesn't stop me from recommending the charger, though. This is already too long, so please assume that every other feature and aspect of this jump starter is a "pro" in my book. And it is. Overall, the AsperX jump starter represents a fantastic value. I've owned a half dozen or so jump starters ranging from around $50 on sale to over $200. The AsperX is one of the best, so far. Recommended.

I am IMPRESSED. I was really skeptical on the claims that it could put out enough to start large diesel motors, but when my work truck was having battery issues, this thing kicked over a 5.9L Cummins engine like it was nothing! The built in air compressor is handy, but very slow compared to any real compressed air source. It will pump up what you need in an emergency, but don't expect to use it as your main source of compressed air.

While I have not had the opportunity to use the jump start feature on this unit, I did have an occasion a few months back where I was saved by a friend when I had a dead battery upon leaving work. They had portable unit just like this one, and I was so impressed at how easy it was to use, and how compact it was to easily store in the car. And that is why I have ordered this unit. The tire inflator has already come in handy as I have a tire with a slow leak around the stem. It is easy to grab this from the back of my car and use it to regain my tire pressure anywhere I happen to be. No more searching for a gas station that actually has a working air pump.

Had to use this today for the first time. It was charged and kept in my emergency kit in the car. My car would not start, for some reason my battery was down. We hooked this up and it started immediately. I had my battery checked and there was nothing wrong with it or my alternator. This was easy to set up, hook up and use. Break down was just as easy. This was a great help today.
