Bought this chair with knowing of " You get What You Pay For". This really isn't the case with this chair. I mean, you're not getting good quality, but you're definitely getting your money's worth and a little more. Fabric seems super durable, easy to assemble and very comfortable. I must confess, I had read some reviews about this chair being "too small for tall people" but I am 6'1" and this chair is perfect. Sure, the foot rest when the chair is reclined isn't long enough to support my feet but that's not nearly as important and the headrest being tall enough -- and it is. I had a small space between my bed and the wall, not large enough for those over-stuffed recliners that are so comfy and huge, but this one fits perfectly in that small space. I was also pleasantly surprised at how well it supports my lower back, keeping me from slouching too much as my old chair caused me to do. I supports my back in all the right places. It's firm, yet soft enough to be comfy. Putting it together took me literally about 45 seconds. You simply push the back down onto its supports, snapping into place, and screw on the 4 feet on the bottom. It's that simple. It had a bit of a new-materials odor to it but I noticed by the next morning that odor had already disappeared. I'm very pleased and satisfied with my purchase. These are attractive, a really pretty blue and i like the fabric texture. I bought two and they make great armchairs in my small study. BUT. I originally planned to use them as recliners to watch TV in—NOT a good fit! There is no lever to recline them, you have to use your body weight and then they fold up on you slowly, slowly like an anaconda. Eventually you're dying and have to throw your strength into backing them up again. Because of their smaller size an average person will dangle head and foot.     • Decent but a bit flimsy

This chair is relative cheap and easy to assemble, and light enough for one person to move (albeit by scooting--lifting is awkward due to its shape and size and lack of handholds). I like its narrowness and firmness compared with the ubiquitous Lazy-Boy style recliners. It's rather comfortable as long as I scoot back far enough that my feet don't dangle off the end--that cuts off circulation. However, one must be careful to recline slowly because it tips backward easily. The fabric feels a little coarse, which I don't much mind, but it doesn't hold up well to cat claws--in only a couple days, it developed several small and large snags. (It looks worse off than the fabric on our 30+ year old couch, which the cats like just as much.) Also, at one point, I tried to lever myself into a more comfy position, and my elbow cracked the apparently hollow wood in the right armrest, creating a dent under the fabric. (No, I'm not overweight.) It's still perfectly functional, so we'll continue to use it as long as it lasts, but if I were to buy another chair, I'd go for something sturdier. ... show more

I bought this for my mother who had a rotator cuff surgery which was pretty significant. It has helped her so much to stay comfortable and allowed her to kick back and relax as much as possible. I purchased this recliner gift for my teenage son. We needed a chair for a very small space and this was a good fit. My son is 5’9” and 175 pounds and sits in the chair comfortably. His ankles do hang off the end, which I already expected from other reviewers and looking at the measurements of this chair. This aspect does not seem to bother him. Unfortunately, the foot rest does not stay up well with the weight of his legs on it. It would be nice if it locked in place as other recliners do. He is not even close to the weight limit on this chair and it should act as a recliner to support his legs. Also, you can see from my photos how badly the fabric is already wearing. There is a hole in one corner of the foot rest, and the entire seam looks like it’s ready to go. This has happened in one months time with normal usage of this recliner. The cushioning in the seat is also breaking down very quickly. I realize that this isn’t an expensive recliner, but falling apart and wearing down this quickly is beyond ridiculous! If you do not plan to use this much or as a recliner then it may work for you. UPDATE** I have lowered the rating to one star because this recliner will be unusable in another month or so. It has been used for only 2 months and is completely falling apart. There is now a sizable tear and complete wearing of the fabric to the point where it is almost see through. There is no support in the middle section of the foot rest, so the full weight of your legs is pushing on nothing but foam and fabric. I have included a photo of the underneath side to show how this footrest is about to completely fall out. It would be nice if the seller would acknowledge this problem.
