I gave this a five star rating because I had to return it but there's nothing wrong with it, per se. The thing to realize is that it's a 3/8 inch barb which doesn't fit the hoses that you would normally use for a 5/16ths barb that comes with the typical carbonating caps. I can't blame them. I blame me. But i do want to warn people who use the carbonating caps that you would be hard pressed to find a thick hose that fits both - and you don't want to stairstep it as there is only about six inches in a soda bottle and you don't want connections which can leak. I had to return it but it's not the stone's fault it comes with the wrong barb for typical carbonating caps.

Part of convincing my wife to have a kegerator in the kitchen was the idea that we could always have soda water on tap. By adding a hose and this stone to the CO2 input on a corny keg it really speeds up the carbonation of water. We just leave it connected all the time and top off the keg with fresh water it carbonates quickly.
