Final Update: Their customer support person (Melissa) shipped a new unit. This one had a correctly molded swivel ball and assembled easily. The original reason that I chose the unit is that it can hold my phone in its existing bulky case, and hold it securely. If this had been the original unit delivered, it would have received a quick 5 stars. Because primarily of the really good customer support, I'm giving it an upgrade to 5 stars now. Update: The supplier's customer support person (Melissa) contacted me, saying that the unit must have slipped by their quality control, which indeed does happen. As I said before, the unit looked okay until the ball was examined closely. She issued a prompt refund and additionally said that they are shipping a replacement unit. This is quite positive (why would they, for a poorly made product?), so I've changed the review from 3 stars to 4 stars and will revisit after receiving the replacement unit, after which I'll add another update. But so far, amazing attention to customer satisfaction. Original review: It looked okay. The assembly instructions are impossible to comprehend. However, that isn't important, because without some modification, the ball for the ball joint was too large to insert. After resizing it with a file and sandpaper to remove casting debris, it finally fit, so yay. Then while riding the first day, the plastic gear inside, the one that holds the clamps shut, broke and the phone fell out. So, it's being returned. Not recommended. Update: The company responded with an offer to ship a replacement unit, and the following remarks. This phone mount is perfect, exactly what I was looking for. Review based on motorcycle (Honda CL500) riding: Secure the phone to my motorcycle handlebars for GPS use - check Maneuverability for best viewing angle - check Vibration resistant proof to protect my phone's internal parts - check (have only ridden 4 times thus far, but have tested the camera which is the concern for breaking and no issues thus far. Small beginner bike limited vibration) Easy phone installation on the device - check. I like the locking arms with the quick open button to the back. I wish the open button also unlocked top an bottom brackets like the sides but its probably for security so the devices doesn't unlock and your phone goes flying. Still easy to release your device though, no problem there. Ability to relocate the mount - check. Sometimes your ride is like your house...change is good and maybe I want the mount on the right instead of the left. Device is very easy to move about for your preference. Price: This is very moderately priced unlike some other high end devices and everything you need comes in one box and one purchase at a respectable price. Highly recommend this model. I have a 2018 Indian Scout and a Pixel 7 Pro. This phone mount was easy to attach to my bike, fits great, and holds my phone tight with minimal vibration and no jiggle, for highway drives or for State Park tours. The top and bottom edges adjust separately from the side edges, so it should fit any similar-sized phone perfectly. The only problem I have is that my husband keeps stealing it to use on his Yamaha Raider! It's nice and deep, too, so I don't have to take my case off. It leaves almost the whole screen usable, too. Really love this mount. It's easy to adjust the tilt of my device, but doesn't travel in any direction once I set an angle. ... show more
