Why did you pick this product vs others?: Fantastic AC design overall that elevates this unit to excellent. Here's 10 advantages over traditional window AC units: 1.) I got my rugged mountain woodsy view back! Reclaiming all but about 4 inches of window light and visibility. It looks great installed. 2.) Much easier to install than any other. It's clearly larger by design, but isn't overtly heavy, roughly the weight of older generation AC if not a bit lighter. The key advantage being the distribution of weight evenly from outside to inside for better balance. The upside down "U" shape actually makes it a bit easier to handle, once you get the hang of it. Screws with caps on outside secure the unit and allow for easy, solid levelling. Basically drops in, couple adjustments, good to go. 3.) So much easier to insulate/fill in the gaps! This is a big one for me living out in the sticks, there is an army (air force?) of flying insects attracted to the light from this one beacon of a window at night. With prior old school units it was basically impossible to find and plug every little hole, gap, etc. Looked terrible on top of this with layers of duct tape that peel away over time. Even with my efforts to make it look neat, was an ineffective eyesore. Extremely frustrating...there'd be bugs bouncing off my computer screens (and biting me) at night no matter what I did. No more with this...just a small area to cover and insulate, included insulation covers all the gaps. Foam for between the window sashes (people, myself included often forget this step, leaving a big gap for bugs to slip in, be sure to cover this). Welcome to my new bug proof fortress! This is also great for cooling, when done well, there are no gaps to let the cool air out and the hot air in. 4.) Very quiet! Especially in "quiet mode" being around the decibels of a small fan, if that. It's practically silent in this mode. This is important as I have this unit in the control room of my home recording studio/office. I can turn it off when I need absolute silence, but my computer fans and air filter fan are about the same decibel level. Old unit was VERY noisy in comparison. There is far less of that "compressor/refrigerant/pump kicking in" noise with this modern unit. Very nice. 5.) Cools very effectively, given I'm using it in a relatively small room, it's slightly overkill, but it is second floor and heat rises. Without AC these second floor rooms get oppressively hot and humid in summer. With this unit, I can leave the door open and it brings the temp down on the whole floor to quite comfortable when I want. For the main room it's in, can get downright chilly when it's 92 degrees out. Love this and so does my computer, gear, and servers. They like it cool as much as I do. 6.) AC units still have a ways to go to be truly eco friendly, especially the window variety. This unit by way of maximum efficiency, allows for sufficient cooling on lower settings. I've seen a drop in energy bills from older clunky units. This one is consuming less energy and doing a better job, due to all the above design enhancements. Good as it get's for the planet with this kind of window AC...at the moment anyway. 7.) Seeing a big reduction in moisture/water leakage as well. Not sure how they accomplished this, but it's not producing nearly as much condensation as prior designs, hardly any at all so far. Older designs would literally be dripping a leaky faucet amount of water out the back. 8.) Remote control is simple and works great at range. I like the "My Temp" button, allows you to single press to your comfort/maximum cooling. Also timer is great, for when you leave the room and forget to turn it off, running all night. Increments from a half hour up to 24 hours. I routinely set this for about 4 hours, if I'm still working when it shuts off, just turn it back on for another 4 hour block. 9.) Filter, actually dual filters, are easy to access. Front panels drops down on a hinge, filters slide out on either side. This is a way better design than anything else I've used. Actually encourages you to keep filters clean as it's so easy to do. 10.) A tremendous value, as this unit does not cost much more than older designs rated at this BTU and is superior in every way. If you are in need of this kind of cooling solution, this AC unit seems a cut above the rest in every category, I'd say go for it!

We have an older 2 story home with a very steep roof, that has whole house AC. However there is only one small floor vent to cool the entire upper level. We needed something to boost the cooling factor. Traditional coolers would not work, as there was no way to support it on the outside of the window and portable ones were too bulky. This was the perfect option. The cooler fit perfectly over the older window ledges, allowing substantial visibility out the window. It secured easily and did not take up a lot of space, at or below the window. The unit works great and the adjustable controls and remote make setting comfort level easy. So far so good.

The media could not be loaded. UPDATE: after 3 months of normal use. The fan stopped working. This was our second unit and neither lasted more than a few months The Joy Pebble Window AC delivers the blissfully cool nighttime temperatures that make sleep effortless. Hands down, this is the quietest machine I've ever owned. It's ideal for a bedroom where peace and chill matter most. During testing, I found its decibel levels to be about 20-30 decibels higher than a quiet room when standing near the unit, see video for details. However, on the far side of the room, it's roughly 10 decibels quieter, creating a noticeable drop in sound. I love that I can still see out my window, and the unit works seamlessly with my blinds and curtains. Even my cat gives it the paws of approval, perched atop the AC to survey the world outside. Sturdy enough for feline lounging yet unobtrusive in design; a rare win for both comfort and aesthetics. Installation was refreshingly simple, thanks to the included bubble level, high-quality foam support blocks, seal foam tape, and insulation blocks that fit snugly around the edges. The thoughtful design ensures a secure seal, minimizing air leaks and maximizing cooling efficiency. I repurposed some of the shipping foam for extra insulation, enhancing performance and making the unit even more effective. They also provided batteries for the remote control. The only drawback is the weight. It's a hefty unit, check the specs, and installation definitely requires two people. That said, I'd gladly trade a bit of heft for a quieter, more solid machine over a lightweight, noisy one. If you want to transform your bedroom into an oasis of cooling perfection, this AC delivers. It's worth it. This AC was tested in the bedroom for 2 weeks prior to reviewing in May 2025.

I have a panoramic view on the back of my house. This air conditioner design is just what I needed. Sleek low profile and cools wonderfully. CAME YESTERDAY, IT IS IN. VERY EASY TO INSTALL.COOLING VERY WELL. ONE THING TO KNOW BEFORE BUYING, IT HAS A WATERTANK INSIDE THE UNIT THAT MUST BE DRAINED REGULARLY. THAT IS INSIDE THE HOUSE! WE ARE IN OUR 70'S AND NOT IN GOOD HEALTH BUT WE MANAGED IT.
