This air conditioner works really well. I had it on for about 20 minutes and the temperature dropped around 20 degrees. It's not huge so it doesn't take up a large about of space. It also helped removed the humidity in the air, it's always so muggy near me. It was super easy to set up, I did it by myself in about 20 minutes, and half that time was just removing it from the box which is packed super well. The air conditioner really works. Definitely worth the buy. You won't regret it. We'll sleep like babies tonight!

Easy set up. Works well . No problems so far. We don’t use half the condo so figured it wasn’t cost effective to cool the whole place. Much cheaper to run than big a/c on top. Plus those cost 15000 to replace. I could buy one of these every year and come out way ahead . Not loud .

I got this for my 40 ft Country Coach motorhome rather than running my rooftop AC and it works very will. Just had to make an insert to go into the window first because the corners of the window are covered. On a 90deg day it keeps it at 72, I have to keep the temperature cooler because of the residential refrigerator that has never been turned off in 8 years plus it is quiet even on high. It came well packaged and came before the date listed. So far so good.

I recently picked up this portable 8000 BTU Air Conditioner for use in my shed and garage. Here’s my detailed experience with the product. The unit arrived well-packaged and secure. Following the instructions, I kept the unit upright for 4 hours before use. I waited several days before testing it to ensure optimal performance. Setting up the unit was straightforward. The venting bracket for the window was a bit long, so I created a temporary alternative for testing. Overall, the installation process went smoothly. I tested the unit in my shed, which is 10x12 feet (120 square feet) and well-insulated. I conducted two tests: 1. Afternoon Test: I waited until the shed temperature reached 90°F and ran the AC for three hours. Despite feeling cold air from the unit, it couldn't lower the overall temperature. 2. Morning Test: I started the unit early to see if it could maintain a cooler temperature throughout the day. By peak sunlight, the shed still reached 90°F, indicating the AC struggled with the direct sunlight. While the unit blows cold air, it seems better suited for a finished, well-insulated room. The manufacturer's claim of cooling up to 350 square feet might be optimistic based on my experience with my 120 square foot shed. One confusing aspect is the water drainage system. The unit doesn't offer easy access to the water pan, so if it reaches capacity, you may need to remove the plug to drain it manually. This could be inconvenient. In terms of power consumption, the unit draws a significant amount of wattage. At its peak, trying to cool from 90°F to 70°F, it was pulling over 700 watts. In comparison, my previous window unit used about 450 watts, making this portable unit less energy efficient. Pros: - Easy to set up - Portable and convenient - Blows cold air effectively Cons: - Struggles to cool spaces exposed to direct sunlight - High power consumption - Confusing and inconvenient drainage system Overall, the Portable 8000 BTU Air Conditioner offers convenience and easy setup but falls short in performance for my needs. It may work better in a smaller, well-insulated room rather than a shed or garage exposed to direct sunlight.
