I really liked it! great for cooking baby food, however my mother in law left it for 5 minutes (she says.. I wasn't there) and it melted!! I would hope this holds off even in the heat...

    • The best steamer for a nonstick pot I've found so far

I looked long and hard for a good steamer to use in my large nonstick soup pot. I tried a couple of others before finding this gem. The others, made of silicone, either have legs so short that the bottom of the food that is being steamed is actually getting boiled, or have legs that are so wobbly (and also short) that the steamer does not stay put. This steamer basket is great!!! It works like the old fashioned folding steel baskets, but it is made out of plastic and won't scratch your pots. If I could give this 6 stars, I would! ... show more

The center stanm is removable, that there are rubber grommet on the feet and on the sides, so it's nice to use it in a rice cooker or a sauce pan.
