I purchased this after purchasing the matching silverware organizer. It fits perfectly next to the silverware organizer. It fits our extra long bread knife, all the steak knives, the chef's knives, and whatever other ones we have. I love the concept, but I wish it fit a few more knives. It is definitely a knife holder for a single adult or a couple and not a family. It holds 4 steak knives and 4-5 chef knives.

My knives don't quite fit in this but that's easily remedied by not putting my paring knife in the holder. I have knife handles that are on the chunky side and these slots are quite close together.
