I bought this kit for my 10-year-old daughter’s birthday because she wanted to learn how to crochet but had no prior experience. The kit is perfect for beginners and includes everything you need to get started. It’s a bit pricey, but the convenience makes it worth it. It comes with a barcode you can scan for step-by-step video instructions, which are clear and easy to follow. There are also several “I need help” options in the videos that link to additional troubleshooting clips. One important tip: Do not take the yarn apart when you open it! My daughter did, and she lost the starter section (the “magic ring”), which made it harder to begin. Not a big deal if you already know how to crochet, but it caused some backtracking for us as beginners. I wish they had a "do not take apart" sticker on the item so that other eager 10-year olds do not make the same mistake. Just scan the code and watch the video instructions before you do anything.
