Love this product. Lavender is one of the best smells in my opinion and now I can have my cats safely smell like that after grooming and bathing them. My male cat sometimes has a musk to him that isn’t the best scent especially when he turns his backside for me to catch a friendly whiff. This has helped improve both my long and short-haired cat’s fur texture and appearance. Their fur is softer, smoother, and shinier. Even the vet has said they have beautiful coats. The smell also last for several days and is not strong and has not caused any side effect with my cats so I know it’s safe. I actually have used this product when my cats were separated temporarily and couldn’t recognize each other due to different scents. I sprayed this on both of them so they smelled the same and within a day they were friends again. I recommend brushing this through their fur to distribute the spray and also to provide some massaging to their skin below and better moisturizing. ... show more

    • Smells Good, But Not A Great Detangler
I have a long haired Shih Tzu, bought it to help remove tangles in her hair. It smells good, but really doesn't work as a detangler. Needs more oil? I don't know. It takes away heat from the hot spots, though. Not bad, but I'll not buy it again for detangling.

    • Helped release mats on short-hair cat
Yes, our short-hair cat got mats... He is a middle-aged buff tabby with that super fine rabbit-fur and had developed several mats around his rump, most likely a result of static from dry winter air. They would not brush out and he didn't appreciate how they pulled his skin. A short-lived attempt to shave them (NOPE) had me searching for a less traumatic solution and I took a gamble on this spray. At first I sprayed my hands and then rubbed it into his mats; as he got used to it over a few days I was able to spray him directly and massage it into his fur - concentrating on the mats - and follow up with gentle brushing with a ball-tipped brush to avoid scraping his skin or pulling the mats too much. I did not spray his head, just shoulders to tail. PROS: the spray pump is very quiet and I was able to sneak sprays on him without alarming him too much. The product eliminated the static from his fur and left it feeling soft and moisturized. It took several days of spritzing the mats and massaging it in, but I was able to brush the mats out within a week. No shaving required. CONS: the scent, though pleasant, is a bit stronger than it needs to be. Our other cat is not a fan of the scent and hypergrooms when I use it on him so I'm not sure it's effective on him. ... show more

    • The Best I've Found
So far this one is the best de-tangler I've found. We have a Husky rescue. These dogs have difficult coats to maintain. I wish this was sold in a gallon size. It smells wonderful and really works.

    • Works great but strong smell.
I bought this for my ShiChi because her fur is so thick that I'd brush her out and after an hour of running around playing, her fur would have small mats. So I sprayed her fur last night, rubbed it in and then brushed her out after it dried. This morning she was still mat and knot free and her fur is super soft. I'm very impressed with the way it works but not so impressed with the strong scent. It's not an unpleasant smell just strong even after 12 hours. So I am only giving it 4 stars. If they would decrease the intensity of the smell, it would definitely be a 5 start product. ... show more
