This lotion works AMAZINGLY on my maltipoo. I use it like a leave-in conditioner on a dry coat. It absorbs into the hair immediately and doesn't leave any oily residue AT ALL! The scent (Guava) is so light and pleasant. I noticed that she doesn’t mind it, and even enjoys me putting it on her! She’s typically pretty sensitive to other dog perfumes or dry shampoos and would usually sneeze a bunch after I apply other products. This lotion makes her fur super soft and has helped her coat stay matt-free. This product has completely replaced any dry shampoos or sprays I used to use on her. It keeps her smelling fresh for longer between baths. Granted, she is a poodle mix so I would take that into account, in terms of the type of coat that we’re dealing with. For context, I typically use about a dime-sized pump of the lotion on her every 2-3 days (she weighs just shy of 10lbs), but have recently started doing a pearl size every day as a part of her routine. I’m not going to lie… after applying it on her, I rub any remaining product onto the rest of my hands and elbows. I would buy this stuff for myself, if not for her! ... show more

It is a little bit fragrancy, but not too bad, which is saying a lot when it comes to me because I’m always writing something in a review regarding the fragrance at least it’s a more natural fragrance and a very nice one. This smells soooo good. I have two female chihuahuas who get a bath monthly and I was using coconut oil on them but unfortunately I am allergic. I searched high and low for something just as safe but also good smelling. When you first put it on it felt greasy but quickly absorbs and smells so good. I got the guava. My dogs coats are slick and shiny! I 100% recommend this. And the bottle is going to last me forever as well. I love the size of the product. Extremely effective. It smells good and does hydrate the fur itself. But if your dog has dry skin, itchiness, and/or hotspots this product won’t do much to improve those symptoms. My dog has skin allergies (bull terrier) and this product made his fur soft but his skin remained extremely dry and irritated.

    • A DAILY MUST HAVE!
Pattern Name: Unscented - 8oz
This is a must have for my Havanese and Lhasa Apso. My Havanese has very fine hair that flies away and this lotion keeps her hair and skin hydrated and less prone to static and snags. It’s also gentle and not harsh like some detangle products. I use it on the fur by her nose to keep it laying down and it’s non-sticky. My Lhasa has dry skin and this has helped her so much on her back and in between toes. The pomegranate is a stronger smell, the guava a lighter smell, and the unscented is perfect for face and privates. I use the scented on their back and top of head for a fresh smell all day. My Havanese likes the guava, but not the pomm. My Lhasa does the pomegranate and doesn’t mind the stronger scent. Their coats are shiny, easy to comb, and softer more hydrated skin. I am totally sold on these for life. I recommend daily use. Also great on the back of hands if you wash your hands a lot from daily grooming. I must admit that I was skeptical about a cream-like product could be good to use on dry coat since I had been using the regular detangle sprays but I am SO GLAD I bought this. I will never go back to anything else. This leave in conditioner leaves my dog’s long hair SO SILKY AND SOFT and it smells so nice it makes my puppy even more huggable.
