    • New owner, not new to the kitchen
Color: Maple
I've owned this 18 inch Boos round maple chopping block for about two weeks and so far I'm very pleased. First off, it is beautiful to look at. You can tell by the weight of this item it is designed for real use. I've had several other wooden cutting boards. They have split early on in use. This board came oiled but I did purchase the board butter to keep it moisturized. If you are going to invest in this piece you need to keep it oiled. Its also important if you will be using it to chop or cut meat to seal the wood from bacteria. I love using this. Somehow the round shape, while large and spacious to use while chopping, seems less bulky than the square boards. Like another owner said, you can hear the quality of this board while you are chopping. I own mostly Wusthof knives and they work fabulously w new board. I have moisturized it 3 times but I do use it heavily. I do not feel I got ripped off at all. You get what you pay for. Do not hesitate to buy if you own nice knives you want to keep nice. Just a word of advice to new board owners, do read the care instructions. How you care for this item determines how it will wear. ... show more

    • Love my new butcher block!
Color: Maple
I bought this for my new place and my fiancee and I love this Boos block. It's very heavy and sturdy. We also purchased the oil and cream to maintain the wood. I read that the wood can dry and crack so buying the oil/cream will help preserve the wood and keep it moist. For the price of this block it would be smart to invest in them. Looks beautiful and I love cutting on it. ... show more

    • I love this chopping block
Color: Maple
I love this chopping block. I cringed at the price, but when I calculated all the money I spent on other cutting boards, it exceeded the cost of this one. I love it. Doesn't slide when you work with it. Cleans up nice. I leave out. My girlfriends love it and think it is beautiful. Thank you P I wonder Women for putting on your website!! ... show more

    • Great board.
Color: Maple
I love this cutting board!!! I have one for veggies and ones for meat. It is great for my nice knifes and does not hurt the edge. Be willing to take care of it and it will last. No standing water, no soaking in water, and condition with a good board oil or board cream. Real easy to do and there are good videos out there on u tube that show how to take care of the board. ... show more

    • Wood separating already. 💔

I am beyond disappointed with this cutting board. It is sturdy, so heavy, beautiful. But it is already separating in multiple places after ordering it on prime day. This cutting board, on prime day, was still a $200 purchase including the tax. It has never been submerged in water, I use the mineral oil, etc. I use microfiber as instructed. No one has taken greater care of one of these than I have of mine because I have limited funds and wanted something that would last forever, or at least many years considering what I paid. I did try contacting seller but it was just a bot and not a person. I have hard even begun to start feeling comfortable to use it as intended and it’s already starting to separate. So sad. You can feel all the places it is separated, which will harbor gross stuff and wood is already hard enough to make sure you’re cleaning it properly. ... show more

    • Perfect house warming or wedding gift
Color: Maple
What a perfect house warming or wedding gift purchase. This is the third one I’ve bought and the folks receiving it love it!! Package arrived quickly!! The only downside side is the price has gone up about 30% the past 10 years. Still an impressive gift though.

    • Well made but the color is off.
Color: Maple
Review Image by danielle a fetzer
I have a feeling these are returns that are being resold. The piece made very well, but the color is so off. It’s uneven and has a sort of grayish hue. I’m not going thru returning it but if I could go back in time, I would order it from John Boos website directly. Size is good and it’s very sturdy. Color is not at all as advertised. ... show more
