Features

  • The Original FSA eligible Trigger Point Tool - Trigger points are tight, tender, contracted muscle fibers, which cause pain. Using a Body Back Buddy to apply sustained pressure to a trigger point can interrupt the pain-spasm cycle. When you release the pressure, you will feel the muscle relax as fresh oxygenated blood flows in.
  • 2 Hooks Are Better Than 1- The 2 hooks and 11 knobs (in 3 different shapes) were created to alleviate pain and soreness across the entire body. Unlike single muscle hook designs, the two hooks on the Elite let you apply more leverage to more parts of the body. The 3 different shapes include acorns for deep tissue, round for gliding over larger muscle groups, and nubs for the lower back. Also, the Elite offers 4 non-slip grips to ensure that you never lose control while applying pressure.
  • Full Body Pain Relief - Designed to be the only massage tool you need to achieve fast, simple relief for your whole body. More than just a shoulder massager, the Body Back FSA eligible Buddy is built to directly target pressure points throughout the body located in the back, neck, shoulders, legs, feet, and thighs.
  • Won't Bend or Break - The sturdy one piece construction is lab tested to be up to 30% stronger than other therapy canes. You can see and feel the difference. Easy, fast assembly. Instructions are printed on the box. Open the box, snap the 2 pieces together and the Buddy is ready to use. Please note the Buddy is designed to snap together one time and then stay assembled for the life of the product.
  • Proudly Made in the USA - Every Body Back Buddy is made in USA, TN from materials sustainably sourced in the U.S. Built to last, every Body Back Buddy is backed by a 1-Year Support.

    • Where has this thing been all my life?!
Size: Blue Pack of 1 Color: Blue
I recently woke up with a terrible stiff neck on one side after sleeping on it wrong. Unfortunately that coincided with a hurricane headed our way and we had a lot of heavy prep that needed to happen. Because I babied the painful side during the heavy lifting, I actually caused the other side of my body to knot up and cause even worse neck pain, but on both sides of my neck instead of just one. I also had a terrible knot in my shoulder blade that nothing would diminish, and it was making the neck pain even worse, and was radiating an ache from my shoulder blade to my upper arm and even my ribcage. I tried everything to fix it: TENS unit, massage gun, heat, ice, creams, biofreeze, and none of it helped. I came across this tool, and I was skeptical but desperate, so I bought it. Within 5 minutes of the package arriving, I was grinning ear to ear because it released the knot in my shoulder blade almost instantly. I have had it for 2 days and I can move my neck again, and it takes no time to release the knots. I’ve only had to use it for about 30 seconds a day when I feel like the muscle is tensing back up. I can’t believe I didn’t know this thing existed, but I know I’ll never be without it now! It’s great, and really intuitive to use! ... show more

    • Sturdy and reaches all the places
Size: Black Classic Color: Black
My physical therapist recommended this to help my shoulder after the tennis ball on the floor was not working. This little contraption is so simple but my gosh, it gets all those over-tight tendons I can't reach properly otherwise. I'm looking forward to finding more uses in the future.

    • Odd but reasonably intuitive, effective. In the words of Cole Porter, "Experiment!"
Size: Blue Pack of 1 Color: Blue
Like many other reviewers', my BBB didn't come with a "12 page instruction booklet". It came with a small (2" square) 4-page advertisement for itself showing an athletic woman in Spandex holding it in various ways and smiling, with no text description of what she was doing. I put it aside for weeks, afraid of hurting myself trying to use it without knowing what I was doing. Eventually a severe back spasm led me back to it in desperation and I started gently "playing" with it. I was surprised to find that it's relatively intuitive, despite looking intimidating. If you've ever used a kitchen counter or table corner, square support post, or doorknob to rub your back against, the same instincts apply here -- you just have LOTS more options. Position some knob or another against a sore spot, apply gentle pressure, and wiggle. After a few seconds you'll naturally gravitate toward the motion and degree of pressure that feels good and helps. It's a little slow (I use it while watching TV or doing something else) but inexpensive compared to massage, and with practice you can get very good at controlling the amount, type, and direction of pressure -- something that can be difficult to communicate to another person. The length can make it cumbersome but also provides what I see as its greatest strength: you can get excellent leverage by positioning one hook-end knob against the target muscle, holding it one of the side protrusions with one hand while moving the free end back and forth with the other. By taking advantage of it as a lever with multiple potential fulcrums and choking up or down with the moving hand, arthritics and fibromyalgics like myself can manage self-massage with minimal strength applied and very little movement. With a few days' practice, I learned to get significantly more benefit from the BBB in proportion to strength and energy exerted than any other self-massage tool I've tried -- that is, whatever area I've targeted feels much better without causing my arms or hands to feel just as bad in trade-off. For more pressure, position yourself so that the weight of your limb or body is resting on the applied knobby-bit; unlike a tennis ball or knobbler, this gives you pressure from below with control from above -- that is, you don't have to have your hand contorted underneath yourself to move it back and forth while resting your weight on it, nor is there a need to move your whole body back and forth, both of which can be very tiring. The length also makes it versatile while sitting, if you have room to swing it around yourself. I've managed to rub my neck, back, arms, legs, and feet, all in the same position on the couch, over the course of an hour-long TV program. If I hold it properly, I get a bonus hand massage in the process. An excellent product, minus one star for lack of instruction. It's referred to in books I own which give more technical advice than this, but one shouldn't have to buy an additional $30 book to avoid letting an item sit in a closet for not knowing how to use it. ... show more

    • Great Addition to my arsenal lol

I think every one should get one of these especially if you workout and have a physical job like I do. This really helps me reach knots in my back and relieve stress. It’s worth the money!

    • My favorite tool when in pain
Size: Blue Pack of 1 Color: Blue
My physical therapist recommended this item to me and it helps a whole lot with the pain in my neck and in my back. I have a pinched nerve in my neck and this back buddy really gets into the tense areas that I cannot get into on my own. The durability is great but it is much larger than I would have wanted however I'm overall happy with the product ... show more

    • It gets that spot.
Size: Black Classic Color: Black
This thing works great for targeted pressure point relief. I'm a pretty big guy at 264 that's solid upper body and this thing rocks. The pointy end is awesome for my shoulder blades and the ball things are great for lower back stuff. It's very hard and if I haven't managed to break it then you won't. ... show more

    • Easy to hit up hard to reach places
Size: Blue Pack of 1 Color: Blue
Good heavyweight construction, makes it easy to hit hard to reach areas. One complaint, the need to smooth down the casting seam as it’s a bit hard and sharp and digs in to your skin. I had to take a sharp blade to it to smooth off the tips.
