We have hard water and our softener went out, so decided to give this a shot. Super easy to install, though wrapping the pipes takes a bit of patience to keep it tight. the included zip ties did a great job of securing the ends. After that just mount the base and plug it in. We did a thorough cleaning of our faucets and shower to try to judge to see if this helps prevent build up. I can say it does a decent job. Its been a couple months now and while it doesn't do the same job as the water softener it does make a noticeable difference vs just the hard water. Now we can go longer without having to scrub off buildup which is nice. For something so simple and that barely draws any power it is worth considering.

We don't have exceptionally hard water, but we do still get regular white deposits on all our sinks and faucets. This little electronic descaler isn't really supposed to soften the water or remove anything, it's just to temporarily modify the calcium ions so that they are more stable and therefore don't stick to surfaces as strongly. I've only had this on for about a week and haven't really noticed a big change. Over the next few months I'll keep an eye on it and see if there are any noticeable changes.

Its so important to have some type of descaling equipment in your home. This one was very easy to install, very affordable and the benefits it provides are really special. No more calcium build up on shower heads or inside your water heater. Prolonging the life of your plumbing system.

We have extremely hard water where we live, and don't have a water softener simply because I'm not a fan of them. Installing this unit was incredibly simple, we just have to trust the science that it works. According to the manufacturers statements, it should prevent limescale build up, as well as break up existing limescale, over time. My expectation is to see less limescale build up on our bathroom fixtures. This will take some time, so I will come back and update this review if/when I see a noticeable difference.

I installed this descaled on my main pipe into the house. Installation was very easy but I did have use some tape to hold down the copper wrap. I then had to add zip ties that are included with it. Having the tape made it easier to install. I cleaned out the build up on the faucets and will see how long they stay clean. So far so good.

We had a more expensive brand installed 5 yrs ago, wanted to have clean unsalted water. It removed the sludge etc out of the pipes and was tolerable on reducing the daily scaling. This last unit gave up after some power surges even with a surge protector. Living in New Mexico, water conditioning is required as far as I am concerned. So I looked for a similar unit with the installation on the pipe. Wow, am I glad that I purchased this unit. So much better then the other brand and so much cheaper...
