For the Christmas lights I also bought a little plug in so I can set it with an app on my phone and turn it on and off and that worked right with these. Highly recommend them! The colors are pretty and it's a nice long cord so it went over the two windows we have next to each other in our living room with no problem. The warm white color is absolutely beautiful — bright but not harsh at all. I bought this for my 7 ft pencil Christmas tree and it fit perfectly. My tree looks so bright and elegant. I didn’t even realize it had a timer function at first. I turned it on, selected my favorite mode, watched TV, and turned it off before going to bed. We're really happy with these lights. I like the way that you can change the colors so I can use them for other occasions beyond Christmas. Using the included remote control, you can set one of five preset color combinations, such as Green and Red, or any individual primary or secondary color. There are also 9 preset patterns which cycle through all of the available colors. The length is good, one string was ALMOST long enough for a 6' Christmas tree. I could have made it all the way to the top, but then there would have been too many dark spots. Using a second string, I was able to nicely fill in the tree and then run the excess lights over out mantle, which happened to be conveniently next to the tree. Originally I bought the four wheel for this vintage aluminum tree and it only lasted 3 days and literally caught on fire. I was so sad and I really wanted true bright white lights and I couldn't find them until I came across these! They're easy to put up. This tree is a 7-ft tree and they fit perfectly.
