I received the 4 cubic foot safe today. It was packaged very well. I was able to get the top of the package off and take the insulation out so I could slide the safe out of the box onto a quilt. I thought they forgot the instructions and I had no idea how to get into the safe so Google was my friend. I had keys but was clueless to see where to use them and a video showed me, so I open the safe and found the directions. The directions were pretty simple but, the codes were not working when I was trying to set them which included the key code and the fingerprint code. Of course I had already installed the batteries. I went back and googled the safe with questions and answers and reviews and found that many people had the same problem including somebody who was sending the safe back because they couldn't set the codes. I read where people said to hit the red button two times and that worked for them to get the codes done and I tried everything, but it just was not working. I decided to pull the batteries out and put them back in and I mean just the plastic piece with them already in because I had the batteries properly inserted. I was hoping a reset might take place just like restarting a phone or a computer. It worked because I put in my key code and it worked the first time and then I did my fingerprint and it worked the first time after I pulled the battery casing out and put it back in. I hope this helps someone else because I was getting pretty discouraged especially after reading that other people had the same problem. The safe is heavy duty and I actually thought it was going to be fireproof and waterproof, but when I read after the fact, I realized that was for much more expensive safes that I had checked into while shopping for this one that were fireproof and waterproof. I just got the safe today and so far I think that it is going to be just fine. I usually don't do a review the first day but I wanted to share about how I got the codes set so it could possibly help others. I would recommend this safe to a family member or friend because I think it's a good value for the price. ... show more

I had an issue with the safe. The company ask me if I was willing to do the repair by myself which I tried to do. When it did not work they gave me a discount which was larger then I had anticipated. They then asked that I send several videos which I did. When it turned out the problem was something I could not fix by myself they refund the total cost to me and said I did not have to return the safe. They were amazing. They walked me through each process and went above and beyond to stand by their product. I have been using this product for the last few weeks, I just recently got married and have been storing our important documents inside of it, as well as some other valuables. It came in a box, it was easily picked up by me and able to be brought up a set of stairs. The installation was quick, although I did not anchor it down. Setup of the keypad was pretty straightforward and simple, and I like how it came with an external battery pack as a backup if we ever needed it. The fireproof bag that it comes with is also a good plus, it was able to fit a lot of important papers including 3 passports. The safe feels pretty secure and high quality, definitely something we wanted as we want to protect the documents from fire. I’ve developed a pros and cons list from my last few weeks of usage. Pros: • Easy setup, and easy to use the keypad and biometrics • Good build quality, the lock and door seem to be of good quality, I would trust my documents to be safely secured in there in case of a fire. Cons • Did come with some extremely minor scratches, it’s possible I may have caused them, however it’s nothing I can really tell unless I’m looking for it. The safe itself is nice other than the lining which is basically wallpaper and will tear easily. The set up is kicking my butt. After giving up multiple times I finally got both doors to open and set the codes. The manual talks about pushing the RED button at the BACK of the safe to set the code. After reading one review I learned that the red button on the back of the safe is actually a GREEN button on the INSIDE of the door on the bottom safe. I’m still unable to open the top safe using the code I set. I set two codes: a USER code and a MASTER code which are different from each other. I’m not sure if they should both be the same number or what…every time I try to open the upper safe the alarm eventually starts screaming at me. This is a work in progress. I haven’t won the fight yet! Update: I finally reset both the User code and the Master code to the same number and now I can unlock the safe. Everything is figured out! Whew! ... show more

Moved to my new apartment the past year and have been looking for a safe box to install so I can keep my personal belongings safe. Found this and am pleasantly surprised! I was initially hesitant because the brand is not really that prominent but the quality of this product is topnotch! Reset, lock, unlock functionalities are very intuitive. The safe is heavy and sturdy. It was two levels/shelves inside to hold your valuables so it’s extremely spacious. I love the digital display as it features date and time, as well as the turnknob because it’s very ergonomic and easy to turn. Also like the alarm feature for that extra layer of protection. I don’t think the unit itself is fire or waterproof but it does come with a fire and waterproof bag for this purpose. Must have of every household!!! ... show more

The first thing that you realize when the safe arrives is that it is extremely heavy (~45kg). This may be a plus if it weren't for the fact that the box it arrives in has no handles. It's a sturdy box and could certainly support a pair of handles in the form of cutouts with plastic edges. How else is one supposed to get it up a long flight of narrow stairs? I had to get the safe out of the box, and make those cutouts myself, then put it back in and carry it up the stairs, one stair at a time. However, this is just a packaging issue. The rest of the flaws concern the safe itself. Second big flaw is the poor condition of the bottom of the safe. For all its weight, the bottom is a pretty thin sheet of metal with clear seams showing it soldered to the rest of the safe. One of the seams on mine was in very poor condition and I could probably insert a coin in one place. So this suggests to me that if I were a thief, what I would do is take a crowbar or some other metal implement and force it between the safe and the wall, and even if you attached the safe to the floor, when someone pries hard in that position, the bottom would snap off and the safe would fall to the floor, with contents spilling out. This is pretty bad. Flaw number three - minor but irritating: the rubber circles attached to the bottom are not sufficiently well attached and one came off as I was moving the safe into its final position. To avoid wobbliness, you then need to incline it with someone holding it and reattach the missing circle. I wish they included a spare set of such rubber circles as mine also got wrinkled in the process and lost some of its glue. Flaw number four - another major one as it concerns overall security. This is a double door safe and one would expect that each door would be operated with a similar degree of protection. However, only the top safe requires at least one key at all times to be opened. The bottom safe, once you set a code, can be opened with just that code alone (and turning the handle). In my opinion, this is lacking in protection as the appearance of the bottom panel is the same as the top one and it could support similar operation. Finally, flaw number five (and this is just what I noticed during the first day of operating this safe! Another major design one - the shelf in the bottom safe is very thin, flimsy, and bendable. It's also not adjustable so it can only be put in one position. The bottom safe is a large chamber but it's not a weapons safe, so if I'm not standing up a shotgun there or something very large (and I'm not), I would definitely want a shelf there and I would want it to support weight. This shelf is too thin and supported by very small hooks - I can guarantee that if I were to put a few kilos of weight on it (e.g., a box of silver eagles), it would bend permanently or even crack. Same concern exists about the bottom - if a safe is on a slightly uneven surface like carpeting, I'm not sure how it would perform in terms of supporting large weight given that seam issue. Having said all this, I'm not returning it for one simple reason - it's too heavy! I'm not carrying this beast back down and I'm giving it two stars instead of one because it's still a functioning safe, it does have some basic deterrence, and hopefully will function at its basic level for some years to come (to be seen). But I wouldn't buy another one like this or of this make - I much prefer my Tigerking safe to this one and probably would not go again for a 6 cu ft safe given all these flaws. This safe is so beautiful on the inside. I love the color and the padding. It looks fancy. This is a very well built safe. It comes with hardware to mount to the wall. It is the perfect size for all my valuables. It has a waterproof/fireproof bag which is perfect for our important documents like birth certs, wills, etc. It comes with keys and an external battery if you lock your self out or if you let the batteries die you can still get into it. Once you get past setting up the new code on the safe, the safe is as advertised. You can follow the directions and try over and over, but until you press the red reset button twice, it will not take your code. Other than that, I recommend this safe so far.

It is better than I expected. It has 4 cubic feet space and it is roomy inside but not that heavy in total weight (90.5lb). It is a large safe with many ways to lock/unlock. It has advanced anti-theft production featured 3 way 5 live bolts and dual anti-impact hinges for maximum break-in protection. With 3 ways to open the safe, I won’t be locked out because if it can only open by a key, I will be in trouble. I keep losing my keys so that wasn’t a good way for me. I love this because I use fingerprint all day every day. The safe looks so cool with the large panel. It requires 4 AA batteries to operate which is also included in the package (which I love). The blue light looks really nice at night. The instructions were very on point and easy to understand. I really like the fingerprint feature because I let my kids play with it trying to open but they did not succeed. It comes with a power pack that provide power to the keypad.
