Safe arrived padded in layers within strong cardboard, which was a good thing since the front had deep damage, but not down to the critical safe door. Delivery on time, and the crew followed instructions to alert deaf resident. Set-up instructions were crystal clear, though both our advanced ages took several tries to get it right. However, both new codes correctly installed. We purposefully did not choose biometrics due to past failures. A provided 9-volt battery is superior to AA or AAAs. Two emergency keys are wonderful backup in event of failed electronics. Adjustable shelves provide great options for storage. At 135.5 pounds, this one is at least twice as heavy as former safes. Great safe, but had to open it with the key because the supplied combinations don’t work. Put a new battery in and pressed the red button on the inside to set my own combination, but the light on the front panel does not light up, and in turn, neither does it accept my new numbers. Going to have to pull the inside of the door off to see if some wiring may have come loose. Not happy because this is not a cheap safe. ... show more

Very happy with the whole experience. Arrived as scheduled. Delivery team was great, putting it exactly where I wanted for a small tip, instead of just at the door as was the deal with free shipping. This is a large, heavy safe. No way I was going to get it there. The safe was a much better deal than anything else I could find for the Black Friday price I paid. Almost immediately after setting up the personal code and using it to open the safe only 4 times, the top half of the keypad stopped working. When I reached out to Customer Support, their advice was to change the battery despite making it clear that the lower half of the keypad works fine and that it is a new battery and safe. I took their advice and replaced the battery and, as anticipated, it did nothing. I am disappointed in the quality and, more importantly, the lack of customer service I received for an $800 purchase. ... show more

Have had this safe for over a year now with no problems! It is exactly what I needed/wanted. Key pad works great and the back up keys are a bonus! Has lots of room on the inside for various items such as handguns, documentation, jewelry, and other valuables. I would recommend this item to a friend.
