I bought this alarm because my JBL radio alarm finally retired itself. I wanted the Phillips version but settled for this one instead ( the price sold me). It actually surprised me with the verity of functions (day and night options) it has and actually like its aesthetics. It is light and compact enough to fit on a small surface. I like its night functions, you can set it up to go off at night and have a artificial sunset accompanied with your sound of choice. the remote that the alarm comes with is very convenient. I have not figured out how to snooze the alarm on the remote yet but with some time I should figure it out. If your looking for something that is not your conventional alarm and does not scare you first thing in the morning, I would go with it. This is a good option for adults and kids.

We bought this for the sole reason we needed a new alarm clock. We are very happy with the options of alarm sounds, option for sunrise wake-up - where the light gradually gets brighter before the alarm sounds. You can also set it for sounds to fall asleep to that can be ran by a timer. Very much worth the money!

My kids are very difficult to wake up for school! We've tried alarms, music, at all different volumes. This alarm is amazing and works so well. It's nice that they can wake up gradually and to calming affect instead of super loud alarms

Update, going to return. It's a nice speaker and very bright, but why for the love of sleep would you make sunset sleep mode be the surface of the sun bright? Why would you make this the only option? You can hold it to change the duration vut if you press dim or orange light on front button, it will run until it becomes bright at the end, and the most times it's A HUNDRED WATT LIGHT BULB BRIGHT ENOUGH THE DOG LEAVES THE ROOM. WAS THIS DONE BY A PARTY NEPHEW OVER THERE? Shame because it would be five stars if it actually worked, this is why we bought it and why it has to go. If you offered an firmware update over Bluetooth it's an easy fix just have U02 and other disco freaking night lights do a normal sunset, start at level below ten of twenty and every 5 minutes decrement, don't go below level zero as it defaults to 20, which is insanely blinding bright. I bought it for wind down of kiddo, where is sunset? It's all over name box everything. Oh speaker sounds very good for it's size if your phone volume isn't max, might have to turn off absolute Bluetooth volume on Android phone. I would love it if the sunrise button didn't cycle from on off and ambient...been waiting to see if any would sunset...

The lights are nice and bright. I like the Bluetooth feature to wake to my own music. I seem to have received a defective one though, because the sunrise feature doesn't work.
