My son has been saving his money for a 3d printer for awhile now. I was very nervous about choosing a good one that would work well for him. I am very impressed and very glad that we chose the JGmaker R1. This printer it very easy to use and doesn’t seem to have any issues with clogging or errors. My son has been printing with it almost continuously since it arrived and he hasn’t had one malfunction. We did have one issue with support but it was with the way we set up the slicer and once we adjusted the measurement it worked like a charm. I will be looking into getting a second R1 JGMAKER soon. Yes it's lacks installation directions on paper but is on file on SD card. Was very simple and free parts to put together to get up running compared to the voxellab printer. Far better printing slicing software and direct drive extruder and is faster. Wasn't able to print a articulating dragon with the voxellab software but this software with this printer printed it the first time for it adds a platform for the print to stick better that the voxellab software doesn't do. I would say this is not a 5 start for a newbie just because of the lack of printed directions to put together but it's a great addition to anyone who is tech savvy and has a printer already. ... show more

I bought this as a Christmas gift and have 0 issues with it. I have printed several items so far and have had great results. I’m a member of several FB 3D print pages, where I see so many problems with higher priced printers. Meanwhile I am printing without problems and the self leveling features takes out so many issues and it’s fool proof. There are no instructions (except what appears to be in Chinese). No way to know what files to use and how to even get it working. Terrible !!!!!!! Don’t buy!!!!!

Easy set up,only took about 15 minutes to assemble and get started,which is good for beginner. I have done several prints from the sd card and it looks good.This printer has the main upgrades that most guys do to their printers. Direct drive, auto bed leveling, and dual fans right out the box.hiden tool box, double-faced PEI spring steel sheet .friendly bed fitting desig. Great price as well. Recommend it ! ... show more
