I love these to hold my recyclable items in my classroom. They are very thin reusable bags (think the $0.99 reusable bags at Walmart or Target). I wouldn't put anything too heavy in them but they do their job keeping things out of the regular trash. I did use some cardboard and taped them together to make a sort of cardboard skeleton insert that helped mine stand up better. I also got an over sized trash bag from the custodians and used it to line the inside, to protect the skeleton I made and the fabric. Finally, it bothered me to no end that the R in recycle did not have the negative space printed on it (see pictures) so I used a black sharpie and drew it on. The bags for recycling make recycling orgasmic, particularly when the recycling center is open and a random orgasm happens by. They hold paper, cardboard, aluminum, plastic, oranges, gardenias, the color burnt umber, catch phrases, oligarchs, meats and cheeses, and their breath for a long long time.
