The lights are reasonably bright and work all night on low power and motion bright. You must be careful how the light hits the solar panel, I put my lights above the solar panel and they wig out, flashing because the light shuts off sensing the solar panel charging, i just changed the angle slightly. The motion on is a very short duration without continuous movement, 15-30 seconds. Very satisfied, they do what they claimed. Next time I would purchase smart lights with time on motion adjustable. ... show more

    • A good light for chicken coops

First off I love it but everyone is different here are my pros and cons I encounter with it to help you determine if this is for you Pro’s -The light is bright enough for my chicken coop 8x14 to keep the girls happy and allow me to inspect at night for signs of predators attempting to break in -easy to assemble -cable length allows almost unlimited range for concealment of cables -solar powered so no batteries needed -can run without panel (for limited time obviously) Con’s -The screws honestly are hit and miss on quality plywood/thin board snapped 3 screws upon installation but the other went great on 4x4 best to use some stronger screw it does recommend to drill a hole before hand but even after I tried anchor vs no anchor. Just best to use stronger screws -Mounting brackets honestly could’ve been better. a notch could’ve been added to prevent free sliding as it is now it just limits you to placing on walls so it doesn’t slide out of the bracket -The mode/instructions are unclear it has some modes like dusk to dawn and motion activate etc etc. but even trying what the instructions tell you it either doesn’t work or somethings wrong with the light. But this isn’t a big deal for me atleast since the chickens are already in their roost for the night ... show more

The packaging is superior, functionality is perfect, but I wish I would have known that the light will not activate during daylight. I bought this for a detached shed that I need light in even during the day.
