I've done my research on bed side rails and I chose this one because this one doesn't have the gap between the mattress and the rails. I wasn't going to risk my baby getting trapped in the gap and suffocating. It was a bit of work to install, but I installed it alone without any help and it was easy. It's been holding up well to my baby standing up against it and being active. I have metal bed frame and I used a ton of zip ties to secure all of it together. I don't think getting just one or two sides would've worked at all. Would've been too wobbly. Maybe it would be different if you screw it in on a wooden frame, but I don't think I would wanna put holes through it even if I had it. So bunch of zip ties works perfectly. It's an investment, but I'm positive that I can sell it for a fair bit of return once I'm done with it. Because of the design, changing bed sheets is annoying, but baby proofing is always about safety over convenience. I have a foam mattress so sliding my hands under the trails to change the sheets has been not a big issue.

This bedrail materials are made of good quality metal and fabric. The metal was easy to put together and easy to install onto the bed. The mesh is also strong. No odd smells or anything. It was also easy to adjust the level of the rail. The rail can be put down easily by adult with one hand but not easy for baby’s/toddlers. I got this for my 5 month old who already can flip over on his own all the time on the bed. I recommend it.
