I have a 10 yr old Labrador who has fallen off my bed at least 1/2 doz times. She rolled over in her sleep again the other night and hit the floor with a thud and then seemed very confused. I always have to chuckle but in truth the bed is 30" from the floor and it is a hardwood floor...so not really funny, she could break a leg. I ordered this the next morning. I have a Full size Sleep Number bed on a platform and this rail worked out just fine. A little tough fishing the anchor straps under the mattress to the other side since there are air hoses hooked up to the bed, it can't be lifted much. At least being air it was light ! It stands 10" above the mattress, so no chance of anymore falls ! I would have preferred the 33" safety rail but it cost more. I was going to make one out of PVC but by the time I priced all the angle connectors and pipe out plus some fabric to cover the frame, this was a pretty good deal. I will likely make a new slip cover for it, White isn't very practical for a dog. I like that it folds down to make the bed too ! She seemed to understand it's purpose too. Second one we have bought. It's a little clunky to first set up, but works great. Secured and holds a baby and toddler from rolling out of bed. Convenient for hotel stay vacations. We got this for our two year old as a way to graduate from his crib. It was a much cheaper solution than buying the separate toddler rail conversion piece for his crib and now he can put himself to bed! This was so easy to assemble. A few clicks, with no tools required, and secure into place!

Switching our toddler from crib to “toddler bed” has been far from easy, but the installation of this rail wasn’t an issue. It allows enough room on each side for her to climb into the bed herself. We don’t use the fold down feature, but w the amount of kicking she does of the railing we do have to make sure the clips are pushed back down everytime she goes to bed. ... show more

I bought this for cosleeping in a king bed and the safety straps do not fit to secure the rail. Giving 4 stars because the rail is designed well and would work on other size beds.

I guess it’s assumed that this type of product will only be used in the lateral walls of any size bed. But I actually have it on the foot of my bed, which is a Full. And it works perfectly fine but the support straps aren’t really long enough to create proper stability. If I had a king size bed and was essentially using this as a footboard, I don’t think it would work. It is pretty much doing the job, but since it’s not actually supported on the frame as it’s intended to be, the mattress isn’t really keeping it from sliding completely ... show more

As to the seller: This came to me used, clearly someone returned it and they did not check it. It was ripped open, the bars were sticking out of the box, the box literally had garbage in it, the packaging from this product as well as a plastic to who knows what and some packaging from another opened product. As to the product: the Regalo rail that you can hide under the bed is much more secure than this one, it has a spring locking mechanism... This one has a seemingly flimsy plastic piece that you swing up. When you push on this rail it moves a lot more and I wouldn't use for the front of 2yo's twin bed. I am using a safety first rail there and this one on the backside against the wall because there's a significant gap. I figure if it fails, it will just fall a couple inches against the wall. The reason I'm using this one instead of the hide away rail is because there's a much smaller piece that goes under the mattress, the hide away is super thick and pushes the mattress up and this one sits a lot better under the bed. Using this with a recessed bed frame causes a large gap between the mattress and frame and pushes the mattress off the bed a bit on the front side. Keeping it because I don't want to keep returning and buying different ones just for them to be the same quality. ... show more
