--| Overview |-- I purchased this for two reasons. 1) I came across an older model roomba, it would wedge itself in the curve of the sofa and get compressed in the carpet, and not have enough torque to get out. 2) I'm quite tall and figured a taller sofa might be nicer in general. Previous configuration put my knees above the waistline and this made getting up more effort then it should be if it were just at the right height to begin with. This solution seemed the easiest, but perhaps not the best. I figured the best would be actual replacement legs, but these are harder to come by. I decided to roll the dice and try these and so far they seem to work out well and address both these problems. --| Pros |-- - 4 sets of 2 Pieces makes it quite tall. - Makes getting up and down from the sofa easier as a tall person. - the Roomba no longer gets stuck under the sofa. --| Cons |-- - 8 pieces, with 4 set of foam and rubber means this will be a set of 4; either stacked, or one piece with 4 pieces that would be useless without a lot of effort. - still a small amount of wobble in the double stack configuration on carpet. - I have found that using the foam, but not the rubber bottom works best. - This allows the support lines to bite into the carpet more and give less play --| Conclusion |-- I feel these add more height and addresses the Roomba getting stuck and makes it easier to get up and down from the sofa. They are a viable solution. I feel replacement legs might have been a better solution, but the sofa already had 5 inch legs on it. I would have needed to find 8-10 inch legs which are hard to find, but would probably look better and have zero play in them if made right. This option was cheaper and easier and seems to do the trick, so I plan to keep using these. ... show more

I didn't expect to be so happy with this purchase, but I now have so much more storage space to work with! The risers are incredibly sturdy and easily accommodated the round legs on the bed frame. They came with non-skid pads if you plan to keep your bed in one spot but I opted not to use them because I shift the bed around for cleaning, which is easy to do with these because the bed frame legs are securely in the risers. I only needed to use one set of risers but like that if I decide to go even higher, there's another full set ready. Definitely worth the buy! ... show more

    • Very solidly built but need an extra one for my 5-legged sofa

My wife and I are in our 60s and it is getting harder for us to get up off our very low sofa and love seat. So just as a test, I raised them up using 2x6's and we liked that height a lot better. Obviously this looked really ugly, so I searched on Amazon and I was surprised how many options there are. I ultimately settled on this set. The set is solidly made out of heavy duty plastic and I am confident they will last our lifetime. The black color makes them almost unnoticeable, and they look about as good as a product like this could look. Unlike what other reviewers have said, it does come with 8 rubber pads for the bottom and 8 soft foam pads for between the furniture leg and the riser. BTW, the box has little stickers pasted over them where it originally said 4 pads of each type, and now says 8 pads of each type. Obviously, the manufacturer listened to the review complaints. My only ding against the product is that my sofa has 5 legs! Yes, there is one extra leg in the very center; no one would know unless they looked under it with a flashlight. I understand this is not uncommon with high-quality sofas. So I actually needed 9 of these risers for my sofa and loveseat. I knew this before I ordered, but it appears no manufacturer sells single risers to add to a set. So I had to make one extra out of a 2x6 plus a 1/2 inch thick piece of plywood (since a 2x6 is only 1-1/2 inches thick, I needed an extra half-inch to match the 2-inch risers). It looks pretty cheesy but no one can see it under the sofa. I sure wish this company would sell sets of 1 or 2 risers to use in a case like this. ... show more

These function seemingly fine for working as a furniture riser except the included rubber mats that are intended to be placed around the bottom edge of the cups are incredibly difficult to attach and seemingly effortless to come off if sliding the furniture for cleaning needs. The base material seems to be sturdy enough to hold up some furniture (though I'm uncertain if I would trust it with something as heavy as a bed).
