I bought this to try in our rv. The queen size mattress pad I bought was big for our rv queen bed and the elastic part that tucks under is very loose. Because of that the mattress pad would move and bunch up under me while I slept. I hated it. I decided to try this before I threw away the expensive mattress pad. I used a full size band since it was cheeper and an rv queen mattress is smaller than a regular queen mattress. To my amazement it works great!! I don’t put it over the sheets just around the mattress pad once I got it in place and smoothed out. Definitely takes 2 people to put it on but once in place I put the sheets over it and I am quite happy with it. ... show more

Not easy for one person to put on a king size bed but it works! My husband no longer gets all the covers or kicks them all loose. It is easier to make the bed except on the days I wash the bedding.

    • Not good for someone that's disabled
I'm disabled (use a rollator walker, have Vertigo, can't look up/down without getting dizzy and see double out of my left eye as a result of a TBI). I have had 3 people that have made my bed and used the band. It works great for a few days, but then in the middle of the night they snap up off one corner. I cannot fix it, because I'm disabled. Wouldn't been GREAT if it had. I even ordered 2 of them. So, I'm thinking a zippered twin sheet might be my next option. TOO BAD they don't have very pretty colors. Maybe the band combined with an under mattress holder would be a good invention? Or more colorful zippered sheets. ... show more

I’ve tried at least a half dozen products to try to keep my sheets on my bed, all with disappointing results. Sheet holders with clasps rip easily through sheets and are difficult to install. I thought the Rubber Hugger would be different. It is, but not by enough to be worthwhile. The Rubber Hugger is a giant rubber band, plain and simple. It looks like a rubber band, it smells like a rubber band, it IS a rubber band. Have you ever had a rubber band wrapped extra tight around something and, as the object it is around shifts, the rubber band begins to roll and twist? That’s exactly what the Rubber Hugger does on your bed. Any time your sheets would normally move, the pressure put on the band budges it a little and eventually the band gets twisted up. Once it’s twisted up, there’s no tension in the band, so you have to take it off and put it back on untwisted. The problem being that you will definitely have to do it again a couple nights later. I’m an exceptionally large, heavy person sleeping on a Queen mattress by myself and I favor one side of the mattress. Even with the Rubber Hugger on, my weight pulls the sheets under me and I wind up with the sheets ballooned out on the side of the bed under me when I wake up. The Rubber Hugger can sometimes just barely hold them on the mattress as the fabric is tugged but most of the time the Rubber Hugger will just come up with the sheets, all twisted up. This product might work better for a twin sized bed, a single, or couples of similar weight in a larger bed whose weight will balance out the tension on the fabric. Make sure you get into bed at the very same time, though! I’ve also been woken up in the night by a loud rubber band snapping sound only to find the Rubber Hugger has pulled up over the corner of the bed and is stretched out horizontally across the mattress, thankfully on the side I do not sleep on. The sound it made was loud enough to suggest that the product could have potentially injured someone if they’d been lying on that side. Likewise, I wouldn’t suggest this for a young child who might jump on the bed or someone who requires assistance such as being moved or flipped on their bed, as the band WILL come up with weight forcefully applied to the sheets and it sounds like it comes up with some pretty serious velocity. The Rubber Hugger works in theory but not on large beds, for large people, or anybody who might cause the mattress to sink unevenly. It’s a rubber band, guys. You’re better off just using a big flat sheet as your bottom sheet and getting a bigger duvet so nobody sees the wrinkles. ... show more

I have a couple of cheaper sets of sheets for my king sized bed that are very comfortable but a bit too large. They often tend to slip up during sleep and get tangled (super annoying). I was looking for a product to keep the bottoms fitted sheet in place and this was it! Some of the reviews said it became twisted, but I didn’t find that. I just make sure it is straight every time I make the bed. It keeps the bottom fitted sheet right in place and nice and tight. No more slipping up! Great product! ... show more
