Great Way to Keep Sheets In Place

I have had this product for about 2 years and I have loved it. My husband is a below the knee amputee, and so he slides more than not when getting into and out of the bed, as well as tosses and turns, and slips while sitting at the side of the bed getting his leg on, I have had major issues keeping fitted sheets on the bed. They pull from the corners as well as the other side of the bed, frustrating for me cause I like my sheets straight and smooth. I tried other products, that just didn't work, clips snap off and other brands that go under mattress just too hard to lift my king mattress to get to. This band is easy to install, I do it myself, and as I change my sheets/bedding weekly, very convenient. I remove it completely when changing my bed and put back on, only way to have hospital corners. Over time I found the band has stretch out some, which is to be expected, hello its a rubber band even small paper bands do the same. I found using the strap designed for adjustable beds to work. I stretch and tighten the band on 3 sides and use the strap at the end of the bed to hold it tight. I do need something for sides, again husband slides off side of bed when getting out. It does make small indent in corners of mattress when tight but not an issue, who sleeps on the corners? For price vs quality I give 10 stars, I would rather buy a new one every couple of years vs paying funeral costs due to how frustrating it is remaking the bed due to my husband. This product has held up and made my life so much easier, I wrap over mattress pad, fitted and flat sheet, during winter I have an additional blanket, keeps all snug, and doesn't pull out of bottom of bed even when my husband gets them wrapped around himself. I would recommend to anyone who has issues with keeping sheets on the bed, this is great for people like me who is or has someone that has a harder time getting into and out of bed, does more sliding then hopping into/out of bed. Love Having Snug Sheets Again

This arrived on schedule and in good condition. I'm happy with it for the most part. I have an adjustable bed and the description mentioned that it doesn't work as well with adjustable beds, and that is something to consider. They do, however, include additional small pieces for each side to use along with the primary band to help with that. My experience is that when the head of the bed is raised, the band doesn't hold the sheet as well along the sides as it does when the bed is flat. The sheet doesn't come out, but it does get looser. I read the description and a lot of the reviews before I ordered so this was not a surprise to me. I decided to go ahead with it because I still thought it would make my life easier, and it has. I like that I don't have to tuck the sheet under the mattress. I just make sure the sheet is under the band all the way around. I'm a senior and not as strong as I used to be, so not having to lift the mattress is a big help for me. It was fairly easy to install. The description or a review I read said it's easier to install with two people. I did it by myself on my double bed; but it probably would have been more difficult for me with a larger bed. First let me say—this product is great (5-stars) IF you need to prevent sheets slipping off the CORNERS. The package instructions tell you this product is designed to hold on the corners, not the sides. I don’t remember seeing that BEFORE I purchased the item, but it might say that somewhere in the description? My problem is my sheets do not hold tight along the SIDES. Doesn’t matter how much elastic is on the fitted sheet, they end up a wrinkled disaster by morning. I have been searching in vain for a way to keep my sheets tight on the bed. And still searching! This band holds great on the corners, but is literally loose along the sides so it’s useless for my problem. Returning. All the other straps and clip products that go on the CORNERS also do not help. The only thing that ever works is when I daisy chain a bunch of those straps together and run them underneath the entire mattress along the width and length (attach from side to side and top to bottom). However, we have a king size bed, so this is impossible for one person to do, and it is impractical every time I change the sheets to require help AND have to lift the mattress. Still looking for a good solution!! Any ideas?? Maybe mattresses should come with some sort of hook system underneath to hold a fitted sheet in place?!! ... show more

I have a queen adjustable base bed with a queen pillow top mattress on it. I was always getting frustrated that my fitted sheet would pop off and essentially cocoon me in the middle of the night with my own sheet. It did not make for a restful night of sleep. I of course tried the sheet clips and velcro etc. I did not have any success until I tried this. This band holds my sheets in place and keeps me from being cocooned by my sheets. Now the first time you put this on your bed you may want to give up but do not. Putting this on by yourself is possible (even if you are like me and have mobility issues .... I cannot get on my knees on the bed so I have to lie down on it and wiggle across, etc) It does not help the head of my bed and one side are against a wall. Here is how I get it done: Take the middle part and stick the velcro to the side of your mattress. Now take the other end and slide it under the mattress and walk to the other side of your bed and attach that end to the side of the bed with the velcro. Now for the fun part the main band. I start with the corner where the head and side are against the wall and I pull the band down as low as I can with it still staying on the mattress. I then go to the same side but the foot of the bed and do the same thing. Then the remaining corner at the foot of the bed then again at the head. Sometimes the first corner comes undone and you need to put it back on. Now attach the 2 sides and done. I had one of these for over a year and then I got sick and ended up in the hospital. My friend went to remake my bed and accidentally pulled part of the band off. When it all did not come off due to the middle piece they pulled harder and broke it. So this is my 2nd one and trust me if it did not work good I would not have replaced it. Does not work as described

I’ve tried at least a half dozen products to try to keep my sheets on my bed, all with disappointing results. Sheet holders with clasps rip easily through sheets and are difficult to install. I thought the Rubber Hugger would be different. It is, but not by enough to be worthwhile. The Rubber Hugger is a giant rubber band, plain and simple. It looks like a rubber band, it smells like a rubber band, it IS a rubber band. Have you ever had a rubber band wrapped extra tight around something and, as the object it is around shifts, the rubber band begins to roll and twist? That’s exactly what the Rubber Hugger does on your bed. Any time your sheets would normally move, the pressure put on the band budges it a little and eventually the band gets twisted up. Once it’s twisted up, there’s no tension in the band, so you have to take it off and put it back on untwisted. The problem being that you will definitely have to do it again a couple nights later. I’m an exceptionally large, heavy person sleeping on a Queen mattress by myself and I favor one side of the mattress. Even with the Rubber Hugger on, my weight pulls the sheets under me and I wind up with the sheets ballooned out on the side of the bed under me when I wake up. The Rubber Hugger can sometimes just barely hold them on the mattress as the fabric is tugged but most of the time the Rubber Hugger will just come up with the sheets, all twisted up. This product might work better for a twin sized bed, a single, or couples of similar weight in a larger bed whose weight will balance out the tension on the fabric. Make sure you get into bed at the very same time, though! I’ve also been woken up in the night by a loud rubber band snapping sound only to find the Rubber Hugger has pulled up over the corner of the bed and is stretched out horizontally across the mattress, thankfully on the side I do not sleep on. The sound it made was loud enough to suggest that the product could have potentially injured someone if they’d been lying on that side. Likewise, I wouldn’t suggest this for a young child who might jump on the bed or someone who requires assistance such as being moved or flipped on their bed, as the band WILL come up with weight forcefully applied to the sheets and it sounds like it comes up with some pretty serious velocity. The Rubber Hugger works in theory but not on large beds, for large people, or anybody who might cause the mattress to sink unevenly. It’s a rubber band, guys. You’re better off just using a big flat sheet as your bottom sheet and getting a bigger duvet so nobody sees the wrinkles. ... show more

Decent at Holding Sheets, But Not Perfect

I've been using the Rubber Hugger Bed Sheets Holder Band for a couple of days on my full-size mattress. While it does an okay job, it's not a perfect solution. Pros: Foot-Holding Effectiveness: The band works well to keep the foot of my sheets in place, which is better than nothing. However, I was hoping it would secure the sides as well, but it doesn't seem to prevent the sheets from bunching up there. Easy Installation: One of the best things about this product is how easy it is to install. I was able to put it on by myself, and it was actually easier than putting on a fitted sheet. Cons: Side-Holding Inefficiency: Unfortunately, it doesn’t hold the sides of the sheet in place, which is where I have the most issues with wrinkling and bunching. This limits the overall effectiveness for me. Comfort: I haven't noticed any improvement in my sleep comfort. In fact, since the foot of the bed is now tucked in more tightly, it feels like it might be making me a bit warmer at night, which isn't ideal. Durability: Although I’ve only had the product for a short time, it appears to be made of good-quality materials. I haven’t noticed any issues with its elasticity so far. Overall, the Rubber Hugger is an easy-to-use product that works somewhat, but it doesn’t completely solve my problem with loose sheets. If you’re looking to secure the foot of the bed, it’s worth trying, but don’t expect it to hold the sides tightly in place. ... show more
