**"What I liked: - quick, easy set up. Just plug the printer in, download the appon my Android phone and follow the app prompts for sync up - flawless printing. Printed several things and not once did it struggle to communicate or lag in response time it was instantaneous each time - words and non detailed images are crisp and the thermal "ink" level is saturated - very compact; I absolutely consider this portable even though I read another review that said it isn't ***What I didn't like - when it did print it always fed out an extra blank page so before printing again I had to open the printer and rotate the roll in reverse until the blank page had receded all the way back into place - I used the cable to try to print from my laptop but the printer never responded even though it was recognized and listed as ready in the computer. There is no app for windows that is compatible and some of the links on the website are broken -no clear advertisement for where to get more thermal paper rolls. That might be confusing for someone new to this kind of product. Unfortunately I cannot keep this printer because one of my needs is to be able to print things from my computer so I will give this to a family member. For others like me, I do recommend the service I already have which is the HP printers that work with the HP ink subscription. I pay $1/month for the subscription that includes color printing up to 10 pages then I just pay 10 cents I think per page afterwards. But when I am getting close to running out of ink I automatically receive ink in the mail. They have a paper subscription too but I don't use that. It has worked pretty flawlessly since I began using the subscription and printer around 3 years ago. I was open to ditching ink and a subscription altogether which is why I tried this thermal printer but it's not going to work for me. If you ONLY want to print from your phone and ONLY documents that have temporary importance (thermal prints fade over time) then this is a great option.

I'm pretty satisfied with this printer even though it took me a while to figure out how to use it, I feel like the directions aren't very clear. Overall it's really practical and easy to take on vacation or in a car, even though it's heavy. If you take your time while learning how to use it it'll be a lot less frustrating.

I was very excited for this printer because it uses thermal printing and gets away from ink. My understanding, looking at the store page, was that this was WiFi capable for both phones and PCs. However, when I try to connect it to my computer, it does not show up on the list. There is an option when installing the software on the PC to make it a WiFi option. For the price, I would expect this to be an option. I also wanted to mention that this printer requires a power source in order to print. It is portable because of its size. However, you are required to plug in the power source to use it. Looking at the photos, it gives the impression that the printer has a battery or some type of onboard power source, which allows you to take it anywhere. The paper that comes with the printer is rolled up and is a little thicker than receipt paper but thinner than normal printer paper. I am a little worried about printing certain types of documents because thermal printing, when exposed to light, can fade over time. I also wanted to mention that at the time of looking at the Itari store page, there was no paper to buy for this type of printer. However, there are other options, and I would say you are going to save quite a bit of money using this printer if you print a lot. The paper is much cheaper than ink. Key things to remember: The printer requires a power source to print and is not wireless to a PC, only your phone. It requires a thermal paper roll, not sheets. I would say it is overpriced for what it does, not a true wireless printer, and still requires a power source to work.
