I've officially found my holy grail of self-tanners. The Isle of Paradise Self-Tanning Water is everything I wanted in a tanning product and easy to use, lightweight, and best of all, no weird orange streaks. I use the medium shade, and it gives me a gorgeous, natural-looking glow that makes it look like I just got back from a weekend at the beach. Application is a breeze: just spritz, blend with a mitt, and wait. It dries fast and doesn’t feel sticky, so I don’t have to awkwardly air-dry like a mannequin for 30 minutes. The scent is light and fresh and not that overpowering self-tanner smell I’ve come to expect from other brands. I love that it hydrates my skin too. It feels more like skincare than a tanning product. My skin feels soft, and the color lasts a solid 5–6 days before fading evenly. No patchy spots, no drama. If you're looking for a glow-up without risking UV damage, this is it. Just remember to exfoliate and moisturize dry spots (knees, elbows, ankles) before applying. You’ll thank me later.

This product can leave streaks and build up spots if not applied super evenly (including the usual fake tan giveaways), but it looks pretty natural for a self-tan. I think the clear water aspect makes it challenging to apply evenly. It still feels sticky after applying, but it’s less sticky than most other self-tans or spray tans.

Fully YOLOd and did my face and chest as my test 🤣 I did about 3 sprays between face/neck and 3 on my chest and I used a makeup brush to blend it, not over thinking I buffed with the makeup brush for about 30 seconds. within 5 hours (photo 1) totally bronzed and natural looking! (Photo 2) just to show you the color transition a bit better, that streak is where I stopped and I’ll continue later. Buy the mits to do your lower half. Arms, belly, and back for sure! Do face / neck / chest last with a makeup brush! Wash palms of hands at end, the spray does have kick back and it will stain your palms. It did not stain anything in my bathroom but recommend doing full body in shower.

I’m very fair, so I got the light shade and I’m not really a fan of the color. It looks a little Trump-ish in the sun at first, but after one or two showers it looked more like a glowy tan. It feels light like water and is pretty easy to blend with the mit. A little goes a long way. The smell is much better than any others I’ve tried and it doesn’t seem to stain fabrics either.

This spray on tanner is as good as a commercial spray tan. My only suggestion is that you use a better spray bottle. The spray nozzle on their bottle just doesn’t do the job,, but there are small spray bottles available on Amazon that work extremely well.
