Ok, let me first tell you that I did read a lot of reviews before purchasing. Reviews that raised multiple red flags, however, I figured I would still give this a shot hoping I may get lucky. I needed a large rolling food container for cat food as I buy multiple different brands of foods and mix them all together to give my cats a nice selection. They are then able to pick through their foods choosing which they are in the mood for on any given day. Now this 42 pound size rolling food bin seemed like just the ticket I was looking for. The problem was, after reading most of the reviews complaining about, (missing lids, missing wheels, broken bins upon arrival) it seemed like a bad idea to even chance ordering this. I didn’t ignore these reviews, but I did decide against better judgement to order one anyway and atleast hope I’m a lucky one. Well, upon arrival, I opened the box, noticed that it comes un-assembled in the box and started pulling it out and assembling it. First the bin itself. It was in fact in great shape. Then the lid. It was also in great shape. Then I notice the wheels were also included, I’m feeling lucky now and mounted the wheels on the bin. After turning it back over, I pop the lid on it and then reach in the box for the locking clip that keeps the lid closed. But wait....... The box is now empty. There was no locking lid clip. So yes, I think it’s safe to say, no matter what, this company has NO product assurance. Nobody managing the items being sold are in great shape and all parts are included. Or... they do have a person working that department, but has been on vacation for the past few years. It’s almost comical that it would take 4 or 5 buyers, to all come together, to be able to actually have enough parts to get one good complete food bin. Maybe we could all set up some type of time share and each of us gets to use the bin on certain weekends and holidays. Haha. .......... Yes, I can still use this food bin, but with the lid not wanting to stay down in it’s closed position without the latch, this bin will not be as air tight and will cause my cat food to not stay fresh as long, Defeating the usefulness of even buying a large bulk bin. So unless you want to join our future “Time share company” for pet food containers.lol I would definitely steer clear of these Remington brand bins. I wouldn’t suggest buying one of these to anybody. And I know this is a long winded review, but I just want people to know exactly what to expect when they order something. I don’t want people spending hard earned money on something that they shouldn’t. So I seriously hope this review helps some of you out. ... show more
