I was looking for an office chair that 1) reclines, 2) doesn't block my legs with high armrests if I want to sit cross legged, and 3) isn't hideous. Love the silver base and wheel covers (wish the wheels themselves were white too). The way it reclines is very comfy - it lifts your butt as it tips back. I do have to use a lumbar pillow because of the puffy bulge at the top on the back. It hits right at shoulder height (I'm 5'10") and leaves a huge gap at my lower back. Also, it was pretty confusing to put together. There's just a tiny diagram to guide you and it doesn't go together the way I intuitively thought. First off, this is the exact chair I was looking for. I like to lounge a little while I work and the upholstered fabric feels like you are sitting on your couch. I like to sit indian style A LOT, and this chairs gives me the room to do so comfortably. If I want to sit with good posture, you will probably want a back rest in the chair to sit upright, but I had to do the same thing with all other office chairs I have had. One more important note to keep in mind, the chair I received was in great shape, and wasn't too hard to put together; it took me about 30 mins. (You'll want to watch the video they provide in the product details though; the booklet wasn't that great). I did have on small issue in that the pressure cylinder that held the chair heigth would not stay in place. The seller sent a replacement part without question or hesitation. I am in love with my chair! However, I did have an issue with it not staying at the height I would set it to. The company was quick to send me a replacement piece, but I had an issue installing it. While I did have a few hiccups with the chair itself, the customer service team is quick to respond to any issues and handle them appropriately! I am blown away by this company!     • Ugly as sin, but great for sitting cross-legged
I've been searching for weeks online and in brick-and-mortar stores trying to find a chair that would be a perfect fit for someone who sits cross-legged all day (but also has a nice tall backrest). That isn't made from cold leather/pleather. This was the only thing on Amazon that ticked all the boxes: Low and unobtrusive arm rests (in fact, they help keep the knees from hyperextending); can recline the back; fabric's not too scratchy; seat is nice and wide (about 20 inches). It was a massive pain to assemble, and it looks like something the 70's would reject (a darker shade of gray, or black, could fix that). But it IS very comfortable, and feels sturdy. Irene House goes above and beyond supporting their customers and with calm professional patience. They even sent me a free gift. The recliner was easy to assemble. Reasonably comfortable for the price. A little tall than I'm comfortable with, but still nice. The one issue I'm have is that the knob that clamps the reclining in place doesn't do good job. At it's tightest, it still reclines back when I lean back slightly. I'm going to replace the knob with something else to see if I can mod it to work better. ... show more

Cute chair, but have to place pillow behind me for back support. Cushion wears down over time and becomes semi-uncomfortable to sit in. Have to adjust and take breaks from sitting so long. Overall pleased with the chair and have been using it for over 1 year.

Very nice chair, very comfortable. However, the directions were worthless and it took forever to put together, the back is pretty upright and does get uncomfortable on your neck if you are leaning back to long. Other than that I love it
