This chair had the best reviews so I took a chance and bought it. I sit in it ever day and use the leg raise. I don't need the left feature, but it works well. The massage and heat are very good. It comes with a pillow that I use for extra lumbar support. It's not leather and I live in the south, so sometimes the upholstery doesn't have the softness that leather does, however, you can put something over the arms if that is an issue. It probably wouldn't bother most people. It came in two boxes. The one with the motor is quite heavy as I think it weighs close to 100 pounds. My son got it into the house and put it together by himself, but ideally, use two people. I really like the chair. I've had it for 6 months and so far, so good. ... show more

Although it moves into the various positions it supposed to do, it does so slowly but smoothly and quietly. Slowly, however, may actually be better for many users. The item comes in two boxes and is fairly easy to assemble. The quality of the fabric won't be known until its been used for several months but right out of the box it seems fine. The highest upright position is more than adequate and makes it easy for the user to lift themselves to a fully upright position. It doesn't lie completely flat but flat enough that my wife is able to sleep on it while she recovers from back surgery. The item is made in China but then again what isn't nowadays? Best of all the price seems right compared to many similar chairs I looked at. ... show more

I really love my chair. I really can only sleep in a recliner and this one is pretty comfortable. I wish I could get my legs a little higher but it works. There is also a gap between the seat and the back of the chair that the little pillow that comes with the chair really doesn’t cover so I usually use a pillow from my sofa. Overall, this chair is a real upgrade from my previous chair and the massage feature is lovely. I haven’t used the heat yet but I will when the season changes. ... show more

Can’t say enough good things about this chair. I bought it for myself because of a shoulder surgery. I’m hook on this chair! It has a messaging unit with heat or without, it goes to a vertical climb to help exit the chair. I just bought one for my husband. I bought the small for myself and the large for him. The best part, it doesn’t look like one of those OLD CLUNKY RECLINER CHAIRS and it comes in a variety of colors. Having choices in color and the overall look of the chair was a main selling point for me. The surprise was that it’s incredibly comfortable too. Should have bought it years ago. ... show more

The chair does not sit 100% flat when in the lowest position it looks a little weird tilted that way. Otherwise it is a great chair. My mom hasn’t figured out the control yet and sometimes points it at the tv but at 97 we just shrug.

I did extensive research on lift recliners befor purchase. This chair is highly rated by several independent reviewers. The consumers has rated it 4.5 stars out of 5. Most negative review were of missing or broken parts. I felt these did not reflect the chair quality but reflect shipping issues and were an easy fix by return and replace. This chair is cushy comfortable. The recline goes as flat as a mattress. The max recline elevates your feet slightly above your head by approximately 2 or 3 degrees. Great for reducing swelling in the feet. The assembly of 4 parts (base, back, right and left arm rests) was super easy. The connection joints are heavy duty metal that slide together. I watched a YouTube video demonstrating assembly just to make sure I was doing it right. I highly recommend this lift chair and would purchase again. ... show more

The chair comes in three pretty big boxes. The base box is pretty heavy - not a complaint, just an observation. The assembly is pretty straightforward and once I got right and left figured out the chair was together. The chair is not super comfortable. There is little support for the lower back. The chair is rated for 6'5", which is my height (370 pounds), but even though I have relatively short legs for my height (32" inseam), my feet still hang over the end of the footrest and I have to keep pushing myself backwards in the chair for my feet to be comfortable. The seat back goes above my head, so the chair has more back height and less foot length that I need despite the short legs. The seat in its "down" position is tilted back more than I find comfortable. I don't want to just sit in the seat with it partially raised because I think that would stress the mechanism, but it is more comfortable raised a little bit. As I continue to experiment with it, I may put blocks under the back to raise it up. The reason I bought this chair is because the back and footrest operate independently which provides a lot of choice in positioning the chair. This has proved to be true. I did not buy the "extra tall" model rated for 6'9" because I knew I had short legs and wondered if the footrest extension would be just one more thing to break. In retrospect, it might have been the better choice. ... show more

This is a truly nice chair for anyone under 300 there abouts, I would imagine. I found it easier to put the armrests on when it was laid on its side. other than that, it went together really well. The chair is truly comfortable except when sleeping overnight, and I do that almost every night. It might be more comfortable sleeping overnight for a smaller person. I am hoping the 9205 chairs will be available soon as this look like it would be a nice chair for a heavy person like me. By the way they are more than happy to refund this product if you pay for the return shipping, problem with that is the shipping will cost you as much if not more than your original purchase price. ... show more
