  • Great For A Booster, Not Wifi 6
Configuration: 1 extender
Needed a little boost for the second floor of my house with an Eero Pro 6E router from Frontier. They wanted 10.00 per month for the rental. Found this for around 70.00. I knew going in that it wouldn't support wifi 6 but I only have one device capable of using that band ,so, it didn't really matter. I followed the instructions and waited for it to be recognized by the main router. It took a while, but it connected ok. Eero had a troubleshooting guide on the website that checked placement and showed the coverage. Pretty slick. I was able to unplug and move it several times to find the optimum placement for my situation. It was recognized by the main router every time without any input from me. It amped up the signal upstairs for my office and in 7 months it'll be paid off. It shows up on the Eero app as a separate device and you can manipulate it to a degree. Works with both the main and guest networks. It's a winner. ... show more

  • Works as described. Presentation is that of Apple products.
Configuration: 1 extender
This WiFi extender works awesome. Very easy to setup. Presentation is that of Apple products. It was very satisfying opening the box. For the money it’s worth its weight in gold. Overall satisfied.

  • Does what it's supposed to do
Configuration: 1 extender
For a true network extender, these work perfectly as long as you reduce the number of walls in the way. We have spectrum for our internet and the router is in the living room on the first floor, which bends there was basically no reception to the Wi-Fi in second floor. I got the whole set. The signal directly from the new router is already much stronger, we get good extension across the whole first floor and from the extender in the basement. I put one extender upstairs, which helps with about half of the floor but they are just too many walls. That's the only reason I'm giving it four stars instead of five, because I probably need to get one more to get full coverage for the second floor. ... show more

  • So Easy to Install and Use
Configuration: 1 extender
Amazon Eero 6 Dual-Band Mesh Wi-Fi 6 Extender We recently moved into a new home and needed wifi throughout the house. The house is super old with really thick floors and walls, and we were concerned about signal strength. We chose the Eero system for a few reasons and we've been really happy with it. One: It's incredibly easy to setup. You follow the instructions to plug in the Eero, then download and register the app on your phone, then you're done! The extenders are equally easy to use; you just plug them in and register them in the phone app. Need to plug something (like a printer) directly into the network because it doesn't have a wifi card? The Eero has a single ethernet output port on the back and you can plug a printer directly into that or (even better!) plug in a switch (we use the NetGear 8-Port Gigabit Ethernet Unmanaged Switch GS608) to the Eero and use that as an extension bridge to take on multiple ethernet lines. And I know all that might sound complicated but it is really SO EASY to set all this up. Plug-and-play! Two: It's so good at juggling network traffic. Eero maintains two networks--a 2.4 GHz and a 5 GHz--rolled up as one and manages what needs to be on the 2.4 (Echo/Alexa and most "smart" devices) and what needs to be on the 5 (everything else, like your laptops and televisions). Eero also juggles which items need to be using the main Eero device and which need to be on the extenders you may choose to scatter throughout the house. You do not have to manage ANY of that; the Eero does it all automatically and seamlessly. Three: The app is gorgeous and so easy to use. It gives you a little notification when something new joins the network and you can rename it (like "Echo-Bedroom" or "Laptop-Husband") and categorize what type the device is (Security Camera, Laptop, Tablet, and so on). You can block items from the device if you need to. You can create a special guest network and password for your guests to use. You can see your download and upload speeds in case you want to check whether you're getting what you paid for from your carrier. Four: The signal we get from the Eero is super strong! I don't regret buying the extenders, but I'm not sure we needed more than the one we put out in the (detached) garage. I would recommend buying and setting up the base Eero first and then buying the extenders later if you decide you need them. You can add the extenders at any time without disrupting the network setup--you literally just plug them in and walk away!--so there's no need to buy them upfront until you're sure you need them. ~ Ana Mardoll ... show more

  • Works great with my existing eero wireless.
Configuration: 1 extender
After reading a few reviews I was worried this might not work as well as I hoped with my existing eero wireless. I already had the app on my phone so as per instructions I opened app clicked + to add new device. Plugged in new eero 6 it immediately hooked up and updated my firmware. Works great. I added this new one in my unattached garage. I got very limited wireless in my garage and had to be in certain spots for it to see my old wireless eero in my house. Now full strength wireless any where in my garage. ... show more
