I thought this would have a finer mesh weave to capture smaller particles. Just be aware that it will not. It would be fine for larger leaves and debris.

The rake arrived in time and has good quality and very good price, I have not yet used it because it is larger in diameter than the pole, that was my mystake. I will have to find another one that is suitable for my pole that is perfect for a brush that I have.

Probably not a fault of the product, but I was hoping it would skim small particles from waters surface. The netting is spaced too wide and small particles go right through it.

Does the job nicely 04-20-16 - Now that I've been using this for over a year....my only complaint is the relative fragility of the net. When small twigs with multiple small side outgrowths are picked up along with the broader leaves, the stiffness of the twigs (with their outgrowth branches which get caught in the mesh) invariably tears the mesh when removing the twigs (leaving larger holes in it). I bought one of these skimmers at my local pool store for $29.99 + tax last year. It was equilivant to the size, yes the mesh was a tad bigger , but I was thrilled to get it for under $5 bucks. Reviews complained about the size of the net itself. I stay on top of my pool all the time and I may suggest to add a cheese cloth lining inside the blue net to catch small bugs and pollen and gnats. ... show more
