I got the 6 person octagonal with the energy efficient cover. It was easy to setup. The bubbles churn the water more than I expected and is very nice. If you sit up straight close to the side the bubbles will go up your back and it feels like a massage. My wife had a friend that had an inflatable and the bottom was hard and uncomfortable so she feared this would be too. Fortunately she was wrong and happy to be wrong. The pad that goes under it is basically bubble wrap with a plastic backing that doesn't really provide any cusioning so I think its more to protect the bottom of the actual tub. I put it by my small concrete back porch and my yard is graded slightly towards the house so it wasn't perfectly level; however when you're sitting in the tub you can't tell the difference. After a few days of not having purchased any chemicals yet the water got cloudy so I decided to empty it and turn it around 180 degrees so that the pump unit was in the corner by the porch and house instead of in the yard. I'll need to attach a hose to the drain spout though but that's not a big deal. The only complaint I have is the cover is very heavy and is a struggle to put on and take off. I had to let a little air out of the tub for it to go down the sides. But this is a very minor inconvenience. I don't stretch it all around the tub properly for now and don't really plan to until the weather gets cold and its time to winterize it. It worked well for a short period, had to replace a faulty cover, a leak in the unit and then an error code e95 that required a complete replacement of the control unit $280. All over the 1st year. Customer service was hard to understand with very broken English and the live chat took an hour to communicate. Barely fits four people, 3 if you want to be head to head I don’t know why they raised the price from 505 To 700 something dollars$? Also didn’t come with the air pump but thankfully I have gotten an adjustment for the missing part, and borrowed a family members pump. Works great heats up to 104’ f. Excellent product. The instructions kinda unclear but was easy enough to set up without instruction. Simple and fast. Works great. Only downside is it uses air for jets so in cold weather it does lose heat a bit quick. But I dont spend long in it anyway. Definitely worth saving g 10,000 dollars

This is my 6th Intex hot tub. I love them. The tub is great. Holds heat and the bubbles are amazing. Perfect for a cool night under the stars! But whoever at Intex came up withe new "energy efficient" cover needs to be fired. It's ridiculous. It doesn't work. It's bulky. Hard to manage and keep clean when you take it off. And it doesn't fit. When you get out of the tub, you want to just pop the lid on and go inside, not mess around with this contraption you sent me. And I guess we just abandoned the child safey clips? Stupid idea. I hate the new cover. My next tub will be from Coleman. (And for folks that are stuck with it like me, don't blow up the outside cover even though it has valves to do so. Tan bladder thing goes on tub first after you blow that up, then the giant, heavy, goofy, vinyl thing they sent goes over the whole tub, sort of. No clips for the kids.) Bad move, Intex. This spa was not shipped with the cover shown. Initially I thought this was fine that the cover, which goes to the floor instead of clipping to the body of the spa, would do better to maintain the heat in the spa. Well it took a few days of rain to prove the problems with the cover. The cover has 2 ports for "ventilation". When rain pools on top of the cover, it pops open the ventilation port and allows water inside the cover. This makes it impossible to remove the water logged cover. We did empty out as much water as we could but there is a foam layer that is now water logged and has worked itself into a bundle. I contacted customer support and they won't do anything except tell me to return the whole thing to Amazon. Kind of hard to return to Amazon when the box is gone. so now I have a spa with a cover that is impossible to move on my own. My previous intex spa with the appropriate clip top cover was perfect for me. This is useless now! ... show more
