  • Previous owner of a wood and fiberglass hot tub and will give this hot tub an A+
Well I did my research and decided to go with this hot tub we had had a hot tub before a wooden and fiberglass one and when we moved it just was too old to move we just weren’t quite sure where to put a new hot tub and with everything going on we just decided to go with this one When I got it out of the box it was really heavy duty put together easy we put the foam insulation panels you can use in your house for insulation we put that on the ground and put the hot tub on top of it which after getting in it later sure helped with making it a comfortable soft seating We headed outside and little winter we loved it we have a lot of pinecones leaves and debris and instead of Will to being pounded with that when we weren’t in it we were worried that the little filter wouldn’t do its job but it’s doing its job well and we have been using Breaux mine since we had our hot tub originally that’s what we like the water stays crystal clear we had it for a few months and the water was a little cloudy and we just decided we were going to move it into our garage we were getting a lot of wind here that we try that and that’s working out really well we turn the temperature down as the days are getting warmer here when we bought this house it didn’t have a bathtub we thought we were shower people but when you have arthritis you really need a bathtub so with the days warmer we don’t have it set so high we just said it warm enough so that it feels good to get in and help us with her arthritis We really do love it and as of now I can’t say really anything negative about it I know that sometimes I get a little warm and I sit on the top of it and have my feet in it I’m not some skinny young girl but it works. And when you turn on the bubbles I am here to tell you I think it puts out just as much bubbles as my big hot tub dude I was really really impressed like I said we love it and I can’t really say anything negative about it I guess the one negative thing I could say is that before Covid the same thing was a lot cheaper and now just like everything else the price has gone up so I do feel like it was you know a little higher than it should be but compared to what a wooden and fiberglass talk to him cost it’s an easy hard time to get an easy to move One more thing and I’m done my son loved it so much he went and got the smaller version and he takes it with him to the lake when he goes camping I do think that’s a lot of work to put it up for three or four days but he’s young sorry I rambled but I hope this helps somebody make the decision that took me forever and a lot of research to make I hope I made it easy have a nice day everybody😃 ... show more

  • This hot tub -spa rocks !
It has been six months since I purchased and installed this Intex 28431E PureSpa Plus, so i figured it was time to review. I only had one reasonable location to place--directly outside my back door on a concrete slab (not enclosed, and no roof covering--although i later added a 10 x 10 ft. tent to protect tub from direct exposure to sunlight and from falling leaves and twigs. Based on other user recommendations, i purchased two 2 in. x 4 ft. x 8 ft. R-10 Rigid Foam Board Insulation Sheathing (pink) and placed them side by side. This REALLY helps keep the temperature constant and you won't have as much heat loss and transfer to the ground surface. The placement of the hot tub on the insulation board is critical. I found I needed to offset the hot tub on the insulation after inflating to accommodate space for the pump (see attached images). The pump/heater needs to be at the same height as the tub connector inlet. Since then, i trimmed several corners of the insulation board to round contour of the tub. We have used this hot tub, on average, 4-5 days each week. No issues with performance, temperature stability, electrical, comfort, etc. Several notes: Error code E90 --I have only seen this error pop up 3 times in six months. And every time it was because I failed to clean or replace tub filters in a timely manner. I replace the two filters with new ones once every month, and clean each week (you can get a lot of mileage out of filters simply by removing and spraying with a hose or kitchen sprayer). They reach a point of no return if the tub water quality is not maintained. Chemicals: no brainer--keep pH, alkalinity, calcium, chlorine (shock weekly) , and bromine (tablets) within specs. I check levels with test strips once per week. Spa chemicals go a long way and i probably won't have to restock these quart containers for another year or so. Cleaning--we use a fine mesh small size pool net to remove larger and visible debris, and the best investment was the Intex Spa Pool Vacuum (i will review this product I purchased later after a few more months of use). You really need to clean the bottom of the hot tub to remove fine particulates that the pool net cannot capture. I really helps with keeping the tub filters from blocking up prematurely and will virtually eliminate the E90 code. Cover: The inflatable cover is an essential bonus that comes with the tub--easy latches that keep cover secure and protect tub from debris and keeps water temp consistent. Overall, I should have invested in one of these inflatable hot tubs years ago. My wife LOVES it. I will check back to update in another six months, after we see how it performs in the winter. Fingers crossed! ... show more
