  • Great Value for the Money
OVERALL RECOMMENDATION: 5 stars - better than expected! My wife heard about inflatable spas and wanted one so, after a week of research, I bought her this for her birthday. We have had it up and running for several days now and it seems better than advertised. Truthfully, I wasn't expecting a lot. And if you buy it thinking it will be like a 10K with jets all over, it won't be what you expect. But, I must admit, it is better than I thought it would be. If you follow the instructions (recommend also watching a youtube as you go), the set up is less than 30 minutes and easily under an hour. CAUTION: make sure your drain plugs are tight before adding water! Expect 1 1/2 - 2 days of warming your water, but after the initial warming it seems to be holding its temperature very well. On our first dip, we started with 102 and 20 minutes later with bubbles on were still 100-101. We set ours up in our sun room, so we have the advantage of it being in a warm room to begin with. Outside in cooler temps, the water would most likely cool more rapidly. We did encounter 1 problem: the LED lights would not turn on. I contacts Intex by phone and went on the call back list. About 45 minutes later, they called me back. I told them the issue and .after verifying my purchase, sent me a verified claim for a new LED light. So I have to give Intex a thumbs up on service. As for the spa itself, I would definitely recommend the 6 person over the 4 person, even if you only want it for 2 people. I'm not sure I would want 6 full sized adults in this; it seems it would be a bit cramped. But the bubbles? Awesome! The 170 bubble outlets ring the perimeter of the spa base. The bubbles produced do massage and are quite soothing. NOTE: if you are planning on placing this inside as we did, be aware, with your water at the recommended level, with 2 people in the spa, water will splash over the edge. Not a huge amount, but enough to produce a small puddle all around the spa. Placing in on tile is fine. Placing in on any kind of water absorbent floor covering - not so much. ... show more

  • Great Investment!
Setup/Maintenance: I have had this spa for two weeks now and its been a great investment. I was very surprised at how durable the sides and material is. I followed all instructions and it took about 30 mins to set up. I filled with well water and it took about 3 days to heat up fully. It does require maintenance and effort to keep clean (especially with children). I need to use an entire bottle of chemicals to get the right balance. If I drain the spa I imagine I will need to repeat. The filters should be rinsed with a hose to clean almost every use. To get the filters out you need to immerse your arms very deep and spray with hose.. while I get soaking wet normally. This is fine as its summer but as the air gets cooler I imagine this won't be too pleasant. I am going to get a backup filter and exchange them while I'm still in the tub as the nights get cooler. I use granulated chlorine and sprinkle a small spoonful in the tub after use and run the bubbles for 10 mins. I bought a spa net and a vacuum. My children track in grass clippings, etc and with a white bottom you see everything so I need to keep it clean. So its work but worth it. Accessories: The spa headrests are a joke. They are just inflatable and deflate and do not look nearly as nice as in the picture. You need to store them when you put the cover on. So if you are debating purchasing this unit due to the headrests... don't. We haven't used them. I also purchased the spa seats separately. This is important if you have shorter children as it elevates them up. I use the seat but not always. They are sturdy. We purchased the cup holder. It also has to be removed but for $10 was worth it but you can easily use a table. Spa Use: The spa itself has been great! The spa does not have targeted jets but the bubbles are very strong and powerful and are very relaxing on our backs. The LED light is a must. We have had a cool summer and sitting in the tub in the evening has been amazing. I had one day where the spa had shut off. We had heavy rain and the arc breaker tripped. The water got to 85 degrees. I am hoping this is a one time incident. I am nervous about the pump... and hope this tub lasts. Summary - for the money it can't be beat! If you are unsure of whether you are a spa person or not and don't want to invest thousands of dollars in a real spa try this out... you will be pleasantly surprised!! ... show more
