This was one of the worst pool vaccumes I have ever used. It would stop moving with the smallest things on the bottom. The suction sucks. When I exchanged it they sent me a used one there was still water coming out of it when I pulled it out of the box. Very disapointed

I am so happy with this item. Cleaning is all done by suction. It crawls along the whole pool sucking sand and debris into the vacuum. I simply turn it upside down, remove the bottom and remove the screen. Easy peasy.

Our above ground pool is only 14ft and this cleaner doesn't work. Once we got it set up it would not stay cleaning!

    • Stops working
Got the unit in, and it worked for about a day or so, then stopped working. Ill explain... When using the vacuum it would move for about 5 mins or less. Then it would just stop. I would then have to take the unit out of the pool, move the wheels, put it back in the water, get the suction to work again, then it would do the same thing. Move for about 5 mins or less then stop. the pump I used it with is a 2500gph pump rated for 1700gph actual rate. The suction using a manual vacuum has no issues, but this thing wouldn't move. I think if you have an in ground pool with a VERY strong pump it might work. I returned it as non functional as that's what it was. I will be trying another type or the old style intex vacuum. ... show more

    • Doesn’t suck, but in there bad way!
I have a 18ft above ground pool and this thing doesn’t clean the bottom of the pool at all. I can feel barely any suction from the bottom and it drives right over piles of sediment. On top of that it gets itself lost for hours spinning in small circles. I would save your money

    • Excellent Value- with caveats
This one works with the pool's SUCTION, believe me, if you're looking to have the dirt captured go into your existing filter system, and are in a similar situation as us below, you need this vacuum. We live in AZ and have a simple 15' above ground 'Bestway' soft sided pool. I knew i'd have to upgrade a few of the components for it to be actually useful. We live on an acre, and the wind tends to blow aome fine dirt into the pool. Manually removing it with a sweeper vacuum... stinks. It's a cheap pool, so I didn't want to spend hundreds on a vacuum. NOTE: The cheap oem cartridge filter/pump will likely NOT run this vacuum. For a truly decent system, which can also use this vacuum...you'll likely want to also buy/install the following: 1. We had already upgraded the filter/pump combo to the to the Intex 1500gpm version (huge difference - we highly recommend). 2. We also installed a Hayward Skimmer system, as it's another needed item for a clean pool. 3. You'll also need additional Intex hoses, a 3 way splitter, and a blend valve to control the suction between your skimmer and vacuum. Once everything is installed and working properly, you'll be surprised how good this little vacuum keeps up with your pools floor dirt. The only question for me now is, how long it will last?     • I would not recommend this pool cleaner.
I would not recommend this pool vacuum, we have a 14ft Bestway pool and I bought this item because it looked easy to install and it showed that it was for smaller pools, but it never worked.

    • Good vacuum, follow filter recommendations
This is a great little vacuum perfect for above ground pools. You do need to adhere to filter/pump size requirements, anything below the recommended limit will not work. We were NOT able to use this with our Besyway Sand Pump 800 gal/hour.
