For 10 bucks, this is a decent product. Added onto a carplay standalone unit that supported a rear camera but wasn't included. It is a 2.5mm connector not your standard RCA, be sure whatever unit you are using will have the firmware/supported hookup to make this camera go active. The video quality is on part with what I would expect from something this price, I will say the LED lights are pretty dang bright which is nice for backing up. Only thing I didn't like is the random hole on the back of the camera, I couldn't find any information on if it should be left or not. The online product description said this camera sent its video signal to the monitor wirelessly, presumably via Bluetooth. The implication was that the video signal would be per one of the usual digital standards. But, the small slip of paper in the package...the only provided documentation...says the camera operates per the NTSC or PAL analog standards (described as "optional", but with no setup information), and sends out its signal via two RCA-connector cables. The actual received camera has one four-conductor cable terminated with a 4-segment 2.5mm plug, plus a separate red wire. There's no documentation as to what role is played by each of the five total conductors. The enclosed slip of paper lists four camera types of varying performance, without indication of which specifications pertain to the enclosed product. I'll re-visit this review if I'm able to set this up and get it working. ... show more

The connection type was not pictured or described in the listing. As it was listed as CVBS, I wrongly assumed that this would be of the RCA type connection. With that said, I have one of the 99 dollar portable Android auto/carplay screens with the DVR cam. Easy to connect, simple wiring and worked right out of the box. This actually works pretty decent for what I need. This cam will stay connected to the 7" portable screen mounted on my dash, and it points down to my Gooseneck hitch to make connecting the trailer easy. My Pioneer double din radio will stay connected to the factory ford backup camera that is mounted in the tailgate handle. This allows me easy parking, backing and attaching both the gooseneck trailer and also my receiver hitch mount. I may also make a switch box for 2 or 3 of the 2.5mm cameras. Then I can have this one on the gooseneck mount, then also mount one at the rear of each of my trailers so I can switch between them. ... show more
