The pool is great, low price good quality. Easy to set up but make sure your site is level. Took a while to set up with my wife but it was extremely hot and then later windy. The set up would have been quicker but multiple beer breaks took some time. I bought an upgraded sand filter with a saltwater system, works great. If you follow the directions provided a person will have no problem with the installation. Buying an upgraded ground felt is money well spent. ... show more

I bought this pool in 2018 for 299$!! Came back to buy another one but see the price is now 1099$. I guess we can do without. But it was a good pool. Got a nice sand filter for it. It was always clean and clear! Lasted till my son messed with some ice in it in the winter 2023 and sliced a big opening. ... show more

    • The pool was very easy to set up
I read the reviews and was a little concerned that the box would arrive damaged and the pool would leak. The pool arrived on a palate it was triple boxed with absolutely no damage anywhere. The pool was very easy to set up, I am a 65 year old female and was able to set it up on my own. To give credit due I was supervised by the 13yr old grand daughter and the ll yr old neighbor boy. They were my gophers. I am impressed with this pool hope it gives me years of fun. No complaints here ... show more

    • Rusted In Less Than 6 Months. Disappointed. :(
We loved this pool when we bought it. We enjoyed it very much for the summer that we had it. It literally rusted out completely in less than 6 months. We took excellent care of our pool. I even treated it for rust prevention every couple of weeks, and it made no difference. The rust started to appear in just over a month. We had to take it down and throw it away. The liner and other accessories were all still in perfect working condition and shape. But, if you have no frame to use it all with, it defeats the purpose. Not happy with the quick demise of an otherwise great idea. I gave it 5 stars for “sturdiness”, as it was very sturdy before it started to rust. Assembly was fairly easy, just tedious. Suction was awesome with the Intex sand filter pump upgrade, but not good enough with the pump and filter that it came with. This is only a good pool for 1 season in my opinion. Don’t expect it to be more than temporary. Disappointed. ... show more

    • Shipping is critical for the pool liners.
Intex makes fairly good products. We have a half circle deck around our 16' Ultra frame pool, so when the liner failed after 4 years we have to replace it with the same configuration. It was almost as cheap to by the entire pool package as it was to buy the liner directly from Intex. That being said, it is always concerning how it will be shipped. The package arrived and the box was so badly damaged I was afraid the liner would be torn. I inspected every inch on the liner and found one small tear in the floor. I patched it using the patch kit included with the pool and bought the glue at a local pool & spa place. (Intex does not send the glue with the patch kit.) I assembled the pool and everything is working fine. I threw away the silly cartridge filter pump as I have a good sand filter system. We also use the saltwater system which I highly enjoy because we don't need much in the way of chemicals. We had a custom cover made 5 years ago from a company in Utah and it is lightweight and easy to cover the pool each night. (In Idaho we seem to have gusting winds everynight!) Our pool is also heated using 2 propane water heaters and I've set the system up so it does it automatically or manually. If I could say anything that Intex could improve upon, it would be to encase the liner in a thin plywood type of box so the shippers and handlers don't damage the most important part of the pool when they are shipping them.     • Great quality pool!
Great pool! The filter pump is more than ppwerful enough. Other models of a similar size come with less gallons per hour. The aerating outlet for the filter is a nice touch. It makes the water burn you eyes less.

    • Rusting bars, replacements overpriced.
Pool went up relatively easy, worked great the first year. Rinsed it off, dried the parts and put in storage. We skipped a season and put it back up this last year. Noticed some light rusting at the beginning of this season but by the end of the season some of the horizontal bars were rusting through completly at the clips. Thought it a bit cheap to get only 2 seasons from the bars but figured could get some replacement bars without too much hassle... Just found out to replace all of the bars (and they all need to be replaced)will cost $800 buying from the Intex store here on Amazon. We did monitor water quality and maintained it properly, in particular the salt, chlorine and hardness levels. Perhaps the bars they used that year would not hold up to the salt water... Would not recommend the pool or Intex with the price gouging on the replacement parts. ... show more

    • Great investment for fun!
We upgraded to the 16 inch pool. It’s sturdy and very thick liner. Our Rottweilers haven’t poked a hole in it yet. Ours is a good 6 inches uneven and it’s still holding up and sturdy. The ladder is not sturdy that’s the only negative. Worst part that I watched this pool increase $300 in price due to the season demand and that pisses me off. ... show more
